  1. First one worked fine for me too. But 40 seconds to bring it in is a long time at my age.
  2. Just a wonderful report UF. And yes, that little Averie will certainly be a head turner. Congrats on a great day in the fresh air with your daughter.
  3. Another vote for Compre rods and Shimano reels here. I have a couple of the Pete Maina combos and they have never given me trouble. The drags are good and they cast very well. The only negative side to the Maina combo that I could find was that the clicker is not very loud. Did you hear that Pete? It's still something very minor. As far as tethering your equipment is concerned...DO IT. This year I put a SS cable to my bolt cutters and long nosed pliers. They're very easy to drop and forgetting about the expense, dropping your cutters in the water means cutting a trip short cause I can't see how you can continue muskie fishing without them. Good luck.
  4. Congrats! Some beauty fish and happy campers in there!
  5. Burns me too, Lew. Sometimes I think that the only reason some of those guys are there is that they don't know how to operate a spatula.
  6. Try here Jack. http://images.google.ca/images?svnum=10&am...G=Search+Images
  7. Bear repellant doesn't work, Rick. Her best bet is to meditate with a friend who can't run as fast as her.
  8. Merland would know which cabin the Dawg is in. I also think that Sam might know. He can also bump the redneck's truck and the alarm will go off....instant redneck.
  9. Great thread, Snag. I vote that we change Cliff's name to "Chuckie"
  10. Stealth...great stuff.
  11. Hell and here I thought that Rudes didn't need oil OR gas!
  12. AHHH ok...still expensive but that's a different story. Please disregard the above dwarf post.
  13. Dang, Joey!!! I was pretty dang sure that the words "hardware store" came up in our conv. today? I'm sorry you got hosed....really way too expensive if we're talking about the o-ring washers on the drain/fill holes.
  14. Please tell me that you have a hose connected to the muffs, Kevin.
  15. Yup, windguru says 15 knots or 28kph gusting to 61kph.
  16. Thanks for looking after our Sudden friend, Sam.
  17. Some really nice fish there, Bob. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Talk to Sam at Carra in Belleville.
  19. These Alabanana dudes all have gun racks in their pickups. There will be no mix up.
  20. Be prepared to see a Confederate flag flying at Merland. And cheese grits fer breakfast....YUM!
  21. Thanks Carole. He left yesterday morning so I thought he might be getting to Quinte this morning. He said he'd be stopping at Sam's if the timing was right. Nice of you to update.
  22. Yes, I went there thanks Charles but that shuts me down as well.
  23. Something wrong with the link for me. I can go to WFN no problem but if I click on the above link or try to go to basstour 2008, it shuts down my browser....weird.
  24. If you don't normally wear glasses, you can get some inexpensive shop safety glasses to protect your eyes.
