  1. Hell, and I thought that they came up in the early spring.
  2. I'm with you Darren. It's all just a conspiracy to keep us away from the smoked meat for a day.
  3. Well said, Rich. You're wise beyond your years.
  4. Isn't it great? All kinds of members here with real skills willing to share their knowledge! Beautiful.
  5. Simon, I have an LCX 25c. It's just a tad newer than the 16. What you'll need to do is do a software upgrade to the unit. It's simple to do online. The upgrade (if it hasn't already been done) will get you the capability to run the classic marine charts and perhaps even the gold charts. In your particular case, I don't think that the marine charts would be very useful. The hot maps are what you want but I don't know if the 16 can take them. There are a few experts around who know that stuff off the top of their heads....guys like Jocelyn Leung. A phone call would be well worth the time. The very worst that could happen is that the chips are not compatible and you're left with one of the best sonar units still available on the market. Let me know if I can be of any help.
  6. Great contribution guy. Thanks. Nothing like sight fishing top waters.
  7. So he's between 3 mile and 6 mile lake?

  11. Don't know how I missed this one, Simon. They really ARE round. They're surely eating well. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
  12. Thank you everyone for your input. Thread locked as per the original poster's request.
  13. So does this just about wrap it up? Has everyone dumped what they needed to dump? Has everyone taken their meds? Still have all your friends here? Anyone want to leave? Let me know what you'd like. RULES. Most members here don't need rules. They are already equipped with what their parents taught them...common courtesy. Thanks for understanding.
  14. I believe that this was your first post (post #7 of this thread) http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9686#entry98358
  15. Oh look he has a band. Ask him if he can play any ZZ Top!
  16. I live on the South Shore of Montreal. You'll have no problems getting around in your own language here. I am PMing you my phone number... should you have any specific questions you can either PM me or call. You know, I'm also a believer of "when in Rome..." however, I feel strongly about the hosts (in this case Montreal) doing their best to make you feel at home. Hope you have a great anniversary trip, Don't be shy to PM or call.
  17. Ahhhhh fer Gawd's sake. Give it a freakin' break!

  24. HAHAHA! Pop over here with Leah...I'll make you some KD. Dan, looking forward to a few pics from you. I have a pic or two of the Dorion hatchery taken in 2012 and yes, the lighting there is almost unnatural, space like almost. I'll find and send.
  25. When I was in business many moons ago I would routinely read demands for tenders...I've kept that as a pastime and so when I read of the Dorion work a year or two ago, I thought it was interesting and sure enough.....here you are. Good stuff! I'm sure you'll have a great time and maybe even another learning experience there. Happy for you Bud.
