  1. I agree with that Terry.
  2. For those of you who are interested, here's a link to an interesting read. http://www.carleton.ca/fecpl/pdfs/FME-Hans...20al%202007.pdf
  3. That'd be a toss up and a personal decision. I run a tiller...I don't feel that I need protection from the elements.....I'm not 80 yet.
  4. I would have said fiction but after having seen the berkley/woo fiasco pre-fishing a tourney 4 days before the season opened this year, I'm not so sure anymore. You can bet that I will no longer buy their products.
  5. Great report Steve, thanks for sharing it. Ours is a private marina. We don't allow folks to just launch and take their boat out when they're not members...it's an agreement that the town makes us adhere to. However, if ever anyone arrives at the launch needing to take their boat out of the water or launch it or pump out their boat or whatever... We'll let them and even help them do it..I think it's a common courtesy and I'm not so sure that blocking someone from using a boat ramp is not illegal. Wondering.....
  6. You're too deep. Go to the manual and check out page 15 and 16. Online, you can find it here. http://www.lowrance.com/upload/Lowrance/Do...-181_120406.pdf
  7. Electrical interference is less common than turbulence interference. Make sure that the transducer is 18"+ from the center line of your gas motor. Ensure also that the bottom of the ducer is level with the water line and 1/4" or so into the water. You probably won't be marking fish in less than 15 or so FOW but you should never lose bottom. Can you give us a pic of the transducer position as it is now? front and side view?
  8. Glad you guys were able to get out. Nice to see JP looking healthy and smiling. That's red cheek weather for sure.

    For Ehg

nice! Thanks for sharing that with us!
  10. Wow! Another account dude?
  11. 32 days to go for me!
  12. Poor thing.
  13. They won't leave, they're licking the screech off the tree trunk and ladder. They'll have lots of splainin' to do when they get home later.
  14. You should do well with it although a few companies have been selling them for years...You're going to need a hook in your marketing approach. I've tried several approaches and to date, the best response I've gotten was to a vegan bait I put out about 3-4 years ago....no advertising budget and I still get requests for it. ps. Sold bushels of'em!
  15. And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and to everyone. To me, Thanksgiving is the sanest of our holidays. It's my favourite. It's a time when we share a meal, our harvest, with family and friends. Of course this can be done any day or everyday but Thanksgiving reminds us to at least share what we have once a year no matter how little you might think it is. Have a super weekend everyone.
  16. There you go Muskybugged...pic's all better now. Nice fish, congrats to you!
  17. Thanks Norm. Maribeth, yourself, Cliff and Sue are the salt of the earth. I'm sure there'll be lots of power coming from the community for both Sue and Cliff.
  18. In Ahangama, the cost of a small bag of white marshmallows is 4 goats.
  19. I believe that a Chinese Parsun employee in the translation department might be moving to Tibet soon.
  20. You guys have a great time! Pack one of those airstrip turkeys Wayne... they don't have Thanksgiving in Wales.
  21. Did anyone catch the season 2 premiere on WFN last night? I don't get it here. How was it....reviews?
  22. Good job Bubba. Glad you were able to get out with all the rain you've been having. The makings of a pretty nice meal I'd say. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Welcome back, Bernadette. Glad you're healthy, now go get dem dar fishies.
  24. That'll get your heart pumpin' for sure!
  25. If you can, go with Friday, Roger. A little rain on Friday with 10K winds...Saturday, no rain but 25K winds...long weekend = lots of boats everywhere on Saturday...much fewer Friday. Just my opinion.. I haven't looked at the major/minor thing.
