  2. and now Gordie Howe is on the ice introducing Jean Beliveau.
  3. HAHAHAHAHA Only the Canadiens could get Aragorn to introduce the flower power on the ice tonight.....what a great presentation.
  4. This was 50 years ago but those door-crashers used to drive me nuts. I've got to say that Mirvish did a heck of a job for the arts in Toronto with the purchase of the Royal Alex.
  5. He'll be fine, Brian...and with you there, he'll be finer. Give us some news please.
  6. Ahh yes.... Gitchigumi, I must get out there.
  7. Fantastic thread, Tony. When we got back from Merland's I was talking to Paul and Joey and they were kind of excited about the prospect of the whole thing but work commitments got in the way. Wayne of course had all that they needed in a boat and motor(s) but his dance card was full as well. I'm really glad that you took it but please don't say that it has to do with "good things happening since you have that boat". You have worked hard and are continuing to work hard for what you have. You know how karma works dontcha Tony? Well, you're only getting a little back of what you put in. Good stuff for sure. All the best and thanks again for posting this report.
  8. I think that most of you know how I feel about the boaters' card concept. It just wasn't one of their better ideas. HOWEVER! It is the law and everyone must have one if he/she is to operate a motorized boat. Prices vary from one place to another. Sure you can get the test done online but if you're going to be paying for it anyway why don't you get full value for your money. In my opinion, the boater's card test will teach you next to nothing. Go to a place where you can meet the people teaching the course, talk to them, ask questions, learn something which might be specific to your home waters. You can try the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons. This thread was started by Peter who is a part of the Town of Oakville Water and Air Rescue Force (TOWARF). These guys know what they're talking about. Heck, get a few OFNers together and make an evening of it! Learn something. Make it worth your while. I'll ask Peter if he can post the next scheduled date. Just my humble opinion.
  9. You cannot cook in a yurt at Mew Lake. Read all about it... http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca/campcan/moreinfo/yurts.html
  10. Great poll, Jacques. With walleye in the lead, I'm pretty sure you'd get the same result in the summer for that species. I'm curious about the boys targeting sturgeon on the ice though. A lot of zones in Ontario are closed all year for sturgeon. The ones that are open are zero limit on catch and/or possession. Why would they be targeted? Hmmm, just wondering....
  11. Welcome aboard Kevin. A great looking eye... congrats and thanks for post the pic.
  12. Leave it alone jayson. You're already treading on thin ice.
  13. I'd say he was stompin' the dude who shot his Ma! He was doin' the stomp. And that right there is your feel good clip of the year.
  14. Hey, cut us some slack guys. We just had the Grey Cup parade today. One cup at a time ok? Now we'll start concentrating on hockey. Thanks for understanding.
  15. Really nice fish! You guys work some pretty choppy water there eh?
  16. WE WHAT????? Just wait one golldern minute there Rick! Welcome aboard, Josh.
  17. Just super, Dara! I love that stuff! Very nice work.
  18. You're right Lew, I haven't the time for any of that garbage either. It's worrisome that the IQ and morality index is so low in the general population that this kind of crap would drive media sales up. On a more positive note, when I see a 'story' such as this one on the front page of a newspaper I think what a wonderful world we live in that there are no wars, no financial woes, no racism......all is well. All we have today is two morally bankrupt individuals with a crooked golf stick.
  19. PCOC!!!!!!!!! YOU SPENT WHAT!!!!!!!!!
  20. I think you guys should have a section devoted to intertrib communication in the "Progession of a steelhead newby" thread. Hey! You could send reel pics in real time to each other all the time!
  21. Hey Joe, you have arthritis???
  22. In '84, Rona and Home Hardware merged to form Alliance Rona Home. In 2000, the group bought Cashway's 66 Ontario stores. In 2001, they bought 51 Revy, Revelstoke and Lansing stores out west. My point is that whomever you're buying from, there's a good chance it's the same people. OHHH and let's not forget Reno Depot.
  23. I don't know what the question is.
  24. Glad you all had a good time!
