  6. There unfortunately is high levels of mercury in Algonquin lakes. It's like that in most places though. Reading this will give you an idea. http://www.algonquin-eco-watch.com/Human%20Impact/Algonquin_Park_the_human_impact_web.pdf

  9. Has been cancelled. http://www.princecraftopen.com/Site/Splash.html
  10. Live minnows can be used on the Larry and the Ottawa.
  11. It doesn't mean that at all. What it means is that I'd rather see at least some of the squandered money go to a cause that some of us are interested in as opposed to that same money just disappearing.
  12. Ed Zachary...
  13. It's only $250,000 per year and it's for the betterment of our fisheries. You can also go after the LCBO and a bunch more for committing the same sin. At least you'll see some benefit from those expenses. Greater amounts are stolen each year by the administrators and employees of those government institutions and you'll never reap benefits from that money. But that's JMO.
  14. Don't use the deep creep....that stuff is like WD-40. You need the SeaFoam engine treatment.
  15. Great and safe time to you up there! Take lots of pics too! Please
  16. It'll depend on whether you're pan frying, deep frying etc... Aside from the taste, different oils burn at different temperatures. What do you want to do? You're going to need oils with high smoke points. Canola works as does peanut, safflower and sunflower.
  17. Agreed, get an 8' Compre. Best bang for the buck by far.
  18. I don't understand your problem, it's always been that colour.
  19. This might help some of you guys wanting to take apart your reels and for reassembly. Click on the brand name and select the model reel you want. http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/schematics/index.php?cat=4
  20. Have the best time up there, Connie. You too Phil. I know how much you guys look forward to this trip every year. Get the cameras rolling and save up some stories for us!
  21. But Rich, if I were you and I was really serious about purchasing a Princecraft, I'd make an appointment with Princecraft marketing department and ask for a plant tour. I mean it's not like your not living in the same small town where they are made. Maybe you can take some pictures and show us? We love pictures and Princecrafts really are good boats.
  22. Yeah, I have a feeling you might have to get your wheel hubs wet this time.
  23. Welcome aboard. I have a Princecraft, smaller of course but very stable. There are many good brands out there and Princecraft is one of them.
  24. Now there's an idea for a toon panel. A bucktoothed sucker. Call him "Digger".
  25. We call it a toothbrush because it was invented in Arkansas, otherwise it'd be called a teethbrush.
