  1. Marcum getting closer to the humminbird. Does this mean that Marcum is having quality control problems?
  2. Nice clean specimen and look at the colours on her! Great shot, Ryan. ps. WAKE UP!
  3. I think you're zone 20 eh?
  4. I thought FMZ18 was max.4 with none greater that 46cms in length. I should look at the regs to refresh my memory.
  5. Yes, that's where I live. Did I say something wrong?
  6. Thanks for the report, Randy. On the Larry, we can only keep 6 walleye and they must measure between 37 and 53cms.
  7. Yeah, welcome aboard!
  8. Same on my 60hp 4 stroke. Looked it up and did it myself.
  9. You can dump length and girth in a spreadsheet as well and you'll even have more numbers to play with. Bonus!
  10. I never use a scale though I've had a few in the past. There's really no need. If I was to buy one though, I would get a chatillon. Most accurate and no batteries. A little pricey. You can buy a cheap scale as well but that kind of defeats the purpose eh? Length and girth will get you close to cheap scale weight and might even be a little more accurate.
  11. Looks like Bill Gate's less gifted brother. Can't believe the crap on television now. It was bad enough 20-30 years ago but now it's just dead.
  12. Kind of a decent argument for catch and keep eh?
  13. A good selection of them HERE!
  14. Do these work, Wayne or are they defects. I click on the "try me" arrow and nothing happens.
  15. Barbless hooks are not widely available here but I'll often pinch or file the barbs down. It makes it much easier on the fish and much easier to release the fish. I don't know about the evolution of fish hooks but I imagine that back in the day, everyone fished for food on the table. They'd throw trot lines out and leave them there for hours/days even, and the barbs would help keep their fish on the line. Nowadays, people fish less for the table and more for the sport and relaxation. We're always in contact with our line so we don't really need barbs. It'd be nice to see a few more people going barbless without having to regulate it.
  16. They are a good thing. Barbless doesn't have to be "legislated". If you like barbless hooks, us'em.
  17. Good, let's consider it taken care of.
  18. Change your aftershave.
  19. *Cleanup on aisle 47*
  20. But not quite as fast as someone with a good knife.
  21. Personally, I don't like trolling plates. A lot of people DO like them but I don't. I don't like drilling holes in my motors. If most of your fishing time is spent trolling and you only need to slow down by 1 or 2 mph, consider changing props instead. For example if you can get down to 3mph on your 60hp with a 3 blade prop, a four blade will drop you to around 2.2 and a 5 blade down to 1.5. You'll improve your hole shot but sacrifice a mile or two per hour at top end. You'll also be getting a spare prop out of the deal. Just something to think about.
  22. What type of motor do you have and what trolling speeds are you getting now? What speed are you looking for?
  23. I have no idea what you're <----(contraction) talking about.
  24. The correct way to write that would be "to do things differently." You're looking for an adverb here answering the question "how". The answer is "differently". Yes, we do things differently here. Call Townsend Engineering in Iowa. They'll tell you where to buy one in your area.
  25. Hell yeah, fur really gets his dander up. And you don't want to be anywhere near TJ when his dander's up.
