Can they be easily installed & uninstalled? If it is then maybe you can consider only putting it on when you're exploring unfamiliar waters? The minor extra cost of gas would probably be nothing compared to getting a lower end fixed right? ...

Hang in there Stoty! Sorry to hear about your mother, don't give up though... "they think that it's not curable" doesn't mean that it is ... we're all here.
-
Looks like a very clean fish. Great job catching them even though the heat's turning on.
-
I see them alright lol. Have you tried catching them? (is there's a season for them? check the regs if you are to try ... i have no idea) It'd be nice to catch one of this cool looking fish
-
that's a real small one indeed lol. Nice fish, thanks for sharing with us. We did get some fish porn since muskie opened and we've got quite a number of muskie anglers here ... don't worry though, give it another 2 weeks, once bass opens ... you'll see alot more. I just haven't caught much to report for the last 2-3 weeks lol ...

Time spent fishing is always good times for me ... regardless if I go alone, with friends/family I like it best when i get a balance of both, once in a while I'd go out alone, just sit there peacefully and time for myself to think. Sometimes I'd really enjoy spending time with a few buddies, yaking about the 50lb carp that got away, or the one time that I saw a mermaid while boat fishing ... aside from all that, I also love to get some father & son time on the water. Actually you know what, as long as I'm sitting on the shore/boat instead of the office chair, I am happy

Another vote for mepps spinners (Aglias/blackfurys) ... and maybe some spinnerbaits also
-
i think it's legal ... back when I used to do dragonboating and when I attended the annual race in June, lots of people stay there overnight

What charger did you have before Johnny Bass? I just bought the motomaster that was on sale for $69.99 at CTC on Sunday ... i think there are problems with my battery itself so i don't know if there's any issues with the charger ... Now that I think of it, maybe I should just buy the onboard charger at Basspro for $99.99 ... it can charge both my cranking and deep cycle at the same time ...

I think you're refering to the "bowrider" type of boats ... don't know why neither but i rarely people "makeover" one of those. There are so many of them for sale listed as "project boats". It's so hard to find a reasonably priced trailer on its own though eh ... but they are usually quite cheap if you buy it with these boats ... good luck with your search

Days out on the water is still better than the office or just sitting at home doing nothing. At least you caught some fish! I have gone out every single weekend trying to catch the carp and have not caught a fish for almost a month now. Keep at it, you'll get'em!

As much as I love carp fishing, I target other species as well and I have always dreamed to own a boat. Last year when I went to BPS I was chatting with Roger (BPSBASSMAN) and he gave me a piece of advice, "You have to buy a boat before you get married!". I'm not getting married quite yet but I have decided to take that advice and started saving up. After months of researching on craiglist/buysell/kijiji/classifieds I found the one for me . Here she is ... It's an older 14' tinny (unknown make) with a side console 1986 20hp Evinrude. The previous owner has already put in a deck, carpetted everything. It has bilge pump, nav. lights, 2 seats, some storage and rod holders made out of PVC pipes. It also has a 40lb Minn Kota PowerDrive in the front. Dropped by BPS again and picked up a pair of saltys for trolling, going to put the fishfinder I used on my canoe on her as well. Roger has kindly offered to give me a livewell pump that he doesn't use anymore so I might also setup a small livewell. I already have a boat safety kit, oars, anchor, pfds. Anything else that i need guys? (O yeah i gotta get myself an OFC decal too) Should I be worried about the boat seats being too high affecting the centre of gravity? I went to register my trailer yesterday, gotta get the boat also licensed and pick up a cranking battery for the motor before heading out for her maiden voyage this saturday. I just can't wait, hope to get her slimed up soon. Special thanks to boatman, kevin and BPSBASSMAN for all the help and advice you have given me. Very knowledgable guys who are always willing to answer some questions for the newbies. Edit: I forgot to add ... she'll be named "girlfriend #2"

That's a real shame with that net ... Looks like all the gills you've been catching are all in good size, i rarely get one that big. Congrats on the add-on to your setup!

Washroom accomodation for female passengers on your boat?
Victor replied to Victor's topic in General Discussion
Great replies guys ... now I can tell my girlfriend to read this page so she knows it's not that bad of a deal lols. I never thought of the idea of "over the transom" though ... haha sounds pretty cool 8-) -
I have been thinking about this for a while ... when I take my girlfriend out on the boat, what do I do when she needs to go to the washroom? Most of the places I know don't even have washroom on shore and when I go fish it'd be at least 4-5 hours. It's so easy for guys ... but for girls ... gee, girls are annoyin haha i'm just joking. What do you guys do when you take your wife/girl/mom/female friend/etc. out on your boat for a day of fishing? Do you purposely find a location where there are washrooms easily accessible on shore? I know there are also alot of female boaters/anglers on this board, please shed some light. and.. no. telling her to hold it in would not be an option
