  1. Great report, it's nice to just get out for couple of hours and with fish to boot.
  2. O man, you finally finished writing this!! Amazing write-up Mike, next year I am gonna make it for sure. That mirror looks very "European" lol if you know what i mean. We rarely see mirrors like that over here.
  3. Have yet to land anything big on it (only 1-2lb bass) yet but it's smooth. When i played around with it in Lebarons it was actually smoother than the stradic (and quite a few people say that too). For the price it's definitely a great reel.
  4. Nice report woodsman. Even the smaller carp can put up quite a scrap especially when you use light gear. Thanks for sharing.
  5. I can't wait to see that report. Congrats once again Mike ... I'm sure there was no better way to spend your bday weekend.
  6. i've got a sedona, a sahara, a symmetre, and a saros ... and i love them all lol.
  7. Congrats Carole! WOW, that's a huge fish!!! Cliff: this is expected from the ladies, so don't feel too bad just joking, you'll get ur 40 soon enough!
  8. Happy Birthday Cliff!
  9. The Grand also has a good population of Carp if you're into that, I've also heard that they're in Laurel creek reservior. I actually live in waterloo right now (going to school) but I don't have a car so I can't really fish during my study terms. Visit the local tackle shops, they can probably give you a few tips.
  10. man i'm so jealous, you so lucky that the speed is really close by... even though the grand isn't far from me, it's still tough to get there without a car.
  11. Great informative post Lorne! It really sucks how school has begun and I'm all the way in Waterloo ... I really wanted to go to the Can/AM.
  12. back comes the 11pm ccmt report! Congrats on the PB Cliff, you must have been REAL HAPPY. Don't see a smile like THAT from you very often . Thanks for sharing with us.
  13. Condolences to Gary's family and friends. I've always enjoyed his posts and have learned alot from them. Gary, you'll be missed here. RIP.
  14. i was just about to say that lol. I'm not korean but learned it from a friend ... not sure if it is the "f bomb" but it is something bad
  15. Congrats DSN! i've gotta steal some of your secret mirror bait so i can catch one. Great pics too!
  16. that's gotta be the 1st and probably only one i will ever see!! that's sick lol! p.s. i see that you've switched from breadballs to corn/maize now !
  17. going camping up at Killbear PP. gonna take the boat up and try the areas surrounding the park and also shebeshekong lake ... will have a report to follow if i do catch some fish
  18. wow that's a beauty of a mirror carp usagi! Amazing colors! Congrats on the catch!
  19. don't have a lot of experiences using light baits on baitcasters ... however ... do you use spinners/spinnerbaits alot on your spinning outfit? With the better quality line, the line twist shouldn't be as bad as you've described, try using a swivel especially when you're using those type of lures. It should reduce the line twist. Hope that helps.
  20. Congrats Roger! Now I'm going to expect to see more fishing reports from you
  21. it sounds like the reel's the thing that needs to be replaced? If everything else is working fine, downsizing the reel should make her day alot more comfortable. I have experiences with quite a few Shimano reels and I'm happy with all of them ... she'll probably do fine with the Sedona as Adrianne mentioned above, very smooth reel for the price. Even though I've got my Saros and Symmetre now I'd still use my Sedona if I didn't throw it into the lake last year ...
  22. Welcome to the board Gogu, Here on OFC we love to see introductions from new members, that'll let us get to know you alittle. People are less likely to reply if you just sign up and fire away with the questions. We also love pictures! With that said, if you're referring to Six Mile Lake Provincial Park, a quick search on google tells me that there's Pike, Walleye, SM/LM bass and panfish there. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
  23. Congrats!! That's a beautifully marked fish! I've had 2 on my line for about 20 seconds each and they both released themselves ... still looking to break that cherry love how the catches go up in size
  24. Wow! Absolutely stunning pics and amazing report! It was a great read for my morning And that's tough fishing??? lol .... thanks for sharing!!
  25. greedy little buggers lol!! i also kept a few as a pet and they survived for alittle over a year, usually feed them leftover food ... sausages, corn, etc.
