  1. Great job once again! That seems like a nice little creek to fish at. I'm sure it won't be long before your son land his first carp, and don't be suprised if that one is bigger than all of the ones you have been catching
  2. You sure take some beautiful pictures! and for some reason all the fish you catch seems to be quite clean/good-looking as well! Thanks for posting, hopefully your son will get better soon!
  3. get a pair of muffs which you can put over your motor and you can run the motor on your driveway before heading out ... that way if anything wrong with it you don't have to drive to the lake to find out. this is my first spring taking the boat out, things that i have heard/read are like ... change the plugs, replace the lower unit oil, re-grease/repack trailer bearings. i do this before every trip but some people might not, don't forget to check the trailer lights as well.
  4. Congrats on the first of 09, it took me a while to get mine.
  5. WTG Dan! Wait till you hook into a bigger one when the temps are much warmer, they go crazy! Congrats on your first and i'm looking forward to hear more of your carp adventures!
  6. sometimes you just have to get out there more often, watch what other people do and what they're using, especially if they're the ones who's catching. Most anglers I find are quite friendly and wouldn't mind sharing a tip or two with you if you approach them nicely.
  7. Nice and silvery, wish I don't have work today. Thanks for sharing.
  8. pshhh... i thought you caught a giant catfish lol...
  9. hmm, i can't see the pics... other than that, thanks for the report lol
  10. For "whatever u need to get you out on the water", do a search on here, u'll find all the answers.
  11. Nice fish kemper, first one is a hog indeed!!
  12. wasn't it just yesterday when you were trying to sell your islander? (it was you right?) that didn't seem long ago at all lol. Good luck out there!
  13. Hey guys, This is my first spring of owning a boat and I need to change the oil as a regular maintenance thing ... I got a bottle of marine oil from CTC, that looks like this Marine gear oil I have watched numerous videos/read articles online to teach myself how to do it, however, they all use an oil pump or something like that. With the design of this bottle, do i still need to buy a pump? I would buy one but I only know princess autos sells them and their closest location to me is still quite far/out of the way. Is there anywhere else I can buy one? Thanks in advance, and good luck to all who's planning to head out on the opener. Victor
  14. don't know about conditions but you are correct, south of CNR bridge for all the tribs, including rouge.
  15. Thanks for the report, better luck next time! That's a beautiful fish though.
  16. Happy Bday bud, have a great one!
  17. Just picked up river fishing this year and got my first pair of wading boots at BPS a few weeks ago BPS redhead wading boots Got them when they were on sale for $38, I have never tried other ones so I can't say how they compare but I've no complains so far. edit: note the prices on the site are USD, i think their CDN regular price is $49.99
  18. i second the idea of getting a brand new boat, you can just leave this one on my driveway
  19. Thanks for sharing it on here! ... Justin and I stayed at desjardin till 1-2am, and we blanked ..... there was one guy who hooked one but lost it shortly due to a snag.
  20. Epic as always! You might need some handcream though
  21. gonna be my 2nd year fishing it and my first with a pin ... can't wait!
  22. Thanks for the report!! I wish that I'd have a local spot where I can just drop by for an hour or 2 after work Nice looking logo too!
