  2. Was my thought as well. The amount of sewage thats dumped in the bay and other, why waste good fish. The size got me. Maybe there trying to feed the other fish
  3. Just sold my 18' walk through and thinking of selling my tiller boat which I fish with mostly. But 12 hour days on a tiller when you get older is hard on the arm after awhile. I'm thinking of going to a side console. I'll miss my tiller. Tiller is a fisherman's boat. Best control back troll over a jigging spot, on target fishing, 2 motors at the back, 1 gas, 1 Elec, 1 hand operation, other hand on the rod. Sometime you have to do whats best.
  4. There will be a media release sent to the local papers (including the Spec) that the MNR will send out shortly. July 5 and 6 the MNR stocked 100,000 walleye into the Bay. BARC members and other Fisheries and Bay stakeholders. Watch the Spec for an article. Sorry for the small pictures but thats all I had
  5. Man Jacques, you know how to get a mans mouth watering. Fried Speckies in butter, salt&pepper, crispy skin and fins. Look out, MAN at Work
  6. Your right on pikehunter about the Skate, they took the loins out of the back of a Skate and cut them up and past them off as Scallops. Even when they had Lobsters that were starting to turn (slime on the shell), they washed them in a water bleach bath and they were good for a few more days to sell. Tilapia and Basa is another story. As they say, what the stomach don't know or people.
  7. I think I may start changing up to a worm harness on my Spin doctor
  8. You know all my fish Chris come in over 25" even the # game fish "Drum" aliased "Asian Carp" Even some of my Perch I caught some real screamer DRUM last week. Now I have to change the line on my reel, got stressed out
  9. Great report Bob and for eats you hit it on the head except I throw a few Speckies on the list of eats.
  10. If you have a choice to which you want to eat. Mine would be a smaller Coho or Atlantic Salmon, over the rest, in Lake Ont.
  11. That made my day, coffee on my shirt
  12. Drew, you are the MAN. Great fish and pictures. Thanks for sharing. I keep saying, one day.
  13. Now that's a GIANT Laker, fish of a life time. Congrats Anders. Love to see that mount.
  14. Almost sounds like a good spot to farm Tilapia or Basa
  15. I guess posting a good fishing report on the net makes one want to go were the fish are. Human nature. With the price of gas and all, makes one want to have the sure thing. Sometime the net is not a good thing.
  16. I have a friend that fishes the harbor almost every day, he has told me some impressive stories about fish he has caught. In-fact, he's got me fishin the bay once in awhile. Being a retired Stelco worker, I try and keep my eyes looking to the west . Years ago, I would have never thought of fishin the Harbor, but hay, it's close to home and better than watchin the tube.
  17. Very good point Rod Caster Bass boats aren't fishing boats, like most call them Bass boats, Glorified speed boats, thats all. Most only fish for Bass(glorified sunfish Rock-bass). Not saying I don't fish for Sunfish when not fishing for anything else. Look how fast I can go, are not fisherman. Don't take much skill to catch a Bass, lakes are polluted with them. But I do like to fish for Bass once-in-awhile. Seems like a lot of money spent on a boat to roar around a lake to wrench in Bass (thats not fishin). I'll stick to my tinny and fish for every species on just about any lake.
  18. Fishing is for fun. What fun is having more crap on the end of your line. Why don't we just tied on a anchor and wined it in. Like dragging in fish with lead-core and a dipsy. Mite as well winch your boat on the trailer, just as much fun. Like the Cronz said, throw away those Telephone Poles. Seems like people want to push the rules. We should just tie a net on our rods with a single hook in the bag, only 1 hook. Whats next. I guess I'm getting old and cranky, don't pay any attention to me.
  19. Another Master Piece, It almost looks as good as the one you built for me. Bet it don't catch fish like mine.
  20. Gerritt, You should have told me you were filming me, I would have wore my Bucket hat .
  21. Great report BB, looks like you've done some productive Farmin
  22. Very nice Chris and Kudos to Ryan & Dan for doing such a great event
  23. Fishing that Lake is like driving the QEW in Toronto at 5pm weekday. Lots of dink Pike.
  24. Thanks Burt for the explanation, I'll be given it a try. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks
  25. I'll have to give that a try. So you say salt slows down the melting of the ice?
