  1. It's happening more and more up north were public launches are being filled in or blocked because of cottage owners think they own the lake. Plus I think it's maybe marinas and politics making it so you have to pay to fill their pockets.. I don't mined paying at some areas $5 to $10 bucks for a well kept ramp but lots are gouging. Innisville pops to mind Now that you got me worked up, I'm heading to 50 Pt. as we type were they charge $23.00 to launch. Good job I have a pass.
  2. Good old toe tappin music and a flyin to-boot, don't get any better than that.
  3. Don't let him spray your boat Lew and make sure no bananas in the boat. Can't wait to see the trophy pictures when you get back. OH! delete that Skunk picture from your camera. Maybe a little superstitious Good luck Lew
  4. A 6' Spiel master piece 1 piece rod, 8LB test mono. Jig weight depends on speed of drift, clarity and depth of the water. I've also went with a plain hook and bead 4 lb test, micro swivel and small piece of lead wire above the swivel. Pencil lead if you can find thin, lead soldier works. Squeeze the tip of the lead wire and make a small hole with a awl were you pinched the wire. Should I say bait, Worm or leech, or Drop Shot Chomper worms best on the market if your going plastic to beat the Pan fish robing your bait.
  5. Congrats Madison, your on your way being a professional photographer, very nice, looks like they liked your picture by the poster. And to top things off dad worked in the back ground. I see talent runs in the family
  6. Thanks Will, viewed it that time, man, your buddy has it made. What a adventure of a life time. Just the feeling being so close to those Whales, I couldn't imagine Just had a thought Will, OPP asking him if he had an Operators card Your buddy would lose him in the traffic
  7. Thanks Will, but the link didn't work on my end, unless it's my CP that won't let me see it. Thanks any way. I'm sure their journey is something else
  8. Thanks for sharing Simon. That last picture is something, I stared at that picture and my thoughts went back to my child-hood. Great picture for a living room wall and a screen saver. Picture of a thousand words. That made my day
  9. Way to go will. Getting friends out fishing and catching is a bonus. That's something, having friends sailing around the world, very impressive. I wish them a very safe journey.
  10. Thanks for sharing Mike, all I can say is "Wow Fantastic", Great pictures and video, just like being there. I can hear the stories at school, My Dad My Dad.
  11. HYJACK!HYJACK! Thread. How many Pickerels & Perches, OK, for Bass guys, Basses, will be saved if just one dies. Sorry Roy, just me thinking out loud again. I know, Farmer, stick your head Just havin fun guys OK I'll shut-up.
  12. I understand Lew, I have bought some stuff from the big boys, that the little guy can't get. I like shotting the crap with my local guy for hours, some time I forget what I went there for. Great meeting place to meet the local boys. Some time a Timmy's will get you some secret spot or bait.
  13. X2 Bill, Using a block and tackle to fish with is not what I call fishin. You want to have some fun, try winching your boat on the trailer and leaving the motor in reverse, man what a fight I've done the deepdiver thing with wire or braid, yes it's OK with a big King but you don't catch big all the time. But each his own.
  14. I'm sorry, but I'll keep my money here and support the little guy.
  15. Article is in this morning Spec
  16. I know Jack, he is a good friend of mine.
  17. Nothing against the U.S. Right on Harry, and we still see line-ups going over the border to shop on the holidays Won't be long before we see the flag change. I was at a resort up north in June that fly a half&half flag,CA/US, never thought that was legal, but it was probably made in ? I don't even see why we have a border. Give it time, we are sheep in foreign made clothing. We must get laughed at a lot down south with our leaders, just for starters the hydro 190 million dollar boondoggle us tax payers have to pay for. And the man stands up and says it's was his fault and says I'm sorry. And that makes it OK Our U.S. OFC'ers that haven't seen it in your comedy sections in your paper, I just gave you your morning smile.
  18. Thanks Hooked, Ill be needing some for the Harbor Front kids fishing day
  19. When were gone Lew, the youngins can have their way, but old sounds good to me to. Just like the new phrase Drop Shotting (Pickeral rig) or (Perch setup). Right on buddy
  20. Please stop. Now you've made me go to my freezer looking for some fish for breakfast, and I don't have Specks, just Perch and eggs for me. Man those Specks look MMMMMMM Good.
  21. I'm still using the old style round 8LB. Little scared spending the money on the others case I lose one, maybe I'm cheap. Plus I have the older Big Jon elect. and worry about burning out the motors using those heavy balls. I'm sure those new style track better.
  22. Happy Birthday Roy, R&R is that REEL & RELEASE, A day fishin is better than cake Have a good one
  23. Sorry to hear that Mike, I'm sure a day out fishing or shopping with you will help. Family just being there for him helps. As you get older it makes one think were all going to be in his shoes some day.
  24. Can't say what Malcolm would charge now but in June a flat was $30.00. Did anyone call? With this drought, could be more?
