  1. Oh Boy, the palm trees are starting to take on snow.....that can't be good for them.... .....damn Canadian snow storms....
  2. Sunshine....but the palm trees need watering again...LOL
  3. No....it explains how one got away by migrating north of here...LOL
  4. Errrrr....."nice shot" has a whole different meaning to a Redneck...LOL The last nice shot I had of a red fox was taken from 278 yards away....
  5. Some good advice but also some misconceptions here when it comes to insurance and suing. No Fault was established years ago to protect yourself from yourself in a way....before No Fault Insurance if you got into a accident and the other driver was not fully insured or did not have enough coverage you could easily be liable for medical and or property damages to you and anyone else in your car. Now your own insurance covers your medical bills, property bills etc....and in the end your insurance company will then go after the other guy if he's at fault for reimbursable. As far as being sued....well yes Gerritt you could be personally sued by this women "IF" you do NOT have enough insurance coverage to handle the settlement. That is why some of us have a higher insurance premium then others, because we PURCHASED better insurance coverage...remember the more you have the more you can lose...so the more insurance coverage you need to purchase... Bottom line Gerritt.....how do you look in prison stripes....LOL...
  6. OK gentlemen (and I use that term very loosely here...LOL) if this backward Redneck can figure out how to purchase a Ontario fishing license and renew a outdoor card (joke) I think you guys can too....LOL Seriously, I just renewed both without a hitch. I was in the process of doing it the day after Christmas but when I got to confirm purchase I couldn't find anywhere that is said I was purchasing a 2012 fishing license. So that scared me off of finalizing the purchase. I didn't really need another 2011 license....but this time I finished the process and then it showed I purchased a 2012 fishing license and renewed my outdoor card. The system was probably overloaded with request when many of you guys were online applying....but a 5am this morning it worked like a dream. Now all we need to do is get this license fee more in reality....a one year fishing license at $77.76 is a LOT of money IMHO.... ...more money to government agencies the more money wasted...
  7. Be careful what you say....NYS reniged on free hunting / fishing license the year before my dad was illegible. Now it's just a reduce rate.... ...but my son and nephew receive free hunting / fishing licenses because they are both in the Air Force.....
  8. Our NYS DECAL license system when it first came out also had MANY problems just like yours. I went to 4 places to get my hunting/fishing license that first year before I could actually get a license. But now it's fine and a great system....I'm sure Ontario's will settle in once all the kinks get worked out. Bob
  9. "Tweet me" just sounds wrong to another "fellow" angler.....
  10. See now you need to take lessons from your favorite local Redneck when it comes to catching fish when they don't want to bite....don't waste your money on those fake fish attractants...your going to need that money for very expensive gasoline this summer (heard it going to spike this summer). Over the years I have discovered a couple tricks to get them there finicky fish to turn on. 1) always have some cheese and pepperoni with you....put some on your hook and get them fish in a picnic mood....tell me, who can turn down cheese and pepperoni while on a picnic...I know I can't... 2) if you can see all them lazy fish just below you on your depth finder but they just wouldn't bite here is what you got to do...pull anchor and fire up the big engine...put her in gear and go around in circles as fast as you can....this will usually stir them up and get them biting... 3) and if all else fails try this but first check you regs in Ontario as it may not be legal....open up a can of green peas and pour them onto the surface of the water....when a fish comes up to take a pea, net the son of a gun..... repeat as necessary until you filled you bag limit... Well that's all I have for now boys....
  11. I may be your other brother from a different mother....
  12. I mailed them out on the 19th so I would of thought by now they should of arrived....I guess that's why they call it snail mail...
  13. Skipper, if you're going to send me something for FREE (my favorite 4 letter word) I'll welcome it with open arms....
  14. Doc, I can't understand why you would say that....first all the critics are giving their advice via through years of experience to help Kyle, its up to him if he chooses to use or not use the suggestions that were posted.....second the OP asked for all forms of comments....this is his quote from his very first post, "All forms of feedback are encouraged"....third why post something like this if you didn't want to hear the comments.
  15. Uncle Billy Bob will help you out here... http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/292
  16. YEP....that is the key......my razor is cordless and it last 2-3 weeks and I always draw it down until dead. I love cordless stuff....I even has a small cordless 5" circular saw that comes in handy on small jobs and is priceless when building tree stands...but I can fillet fish just as fast or most time much faster then electric fillet knife guy....and that same knife can be used for a lot more things then fillet fish. But if your better with a electric fillet knife, then plug her in and Get 'R Done.....because the sooner we're done, the sooner we can cook em up....
  17. I recommend this cordless model...... The top one need replacement due to thousands of fish cleaned and kept razor sharp. I guess I'm just old school on knifes...I must have at least a half dozen Rapala fillet knifes and one off brand I purchased in 1975 at the Toronto Sportsmen Show. But that one is only used for skinning. I can't see spending the money on a electric knife when I can get several conventional fillet knifes and still have money left over for boat gas.
  18. Tundra has great tires.....just ask the Bridgestone man and he'll tell you why they cost over $800.00 for set of 4..... However, this was my Ford E-150 Van that only made it half way up the hill before the whole rig decided to slide down backwards in the dark on a winding hill....only through my expertise driving skills (luck) that I was able to gain control of this frightful event with just minimal damage to my boat and trailer (right tail light broken and very small ding where the transom and starboard gunnel fasten) when we came to rest against the guard rail.... But I didn't give up because I was still young and dumb....we pushed on to Chautauqua Lake by going around the big stupid hill (add about 30 miles to the trip) where found some ice at the boat launch....but again this didn't stop us.....broke through the ice with my trusty Grumman like a friggin USA Coast Guard Icebreaker only to find out my steering was frozen up on the boat.....like a good little Redneck a quick solution was found by pouring lake water onto the frozen area.... We then motored up the lake about 7 miles to my favorite December hot spot where we knocked the nuts off them their walleyes.... ...(think limit times 3)... At least on the way home the sun burned off the snow off the roads so I didn't have to drive home the long way... Was it worth.....back then I would have said yes....today I would say I must have been nuts to go through all that for a fish.... ...and that's why my trusty Grumman is in hibernation until sometime in March...
  19. No ice here....not even close as of today.....and boat is in storage, but I gave up late boat season a while back when I had the "indecent" towing my rig up a hill with about 1" of snow on the road....
  20. Oh, good catch......it should of read "safe ice".....
  21. Good to hear Lota....as Forrest Gump once said "just one less thing to worry about"....
  22. Hey Skipper, what's this "kilometer" you speak of.... ....and how many days does it take to travel 50-60 of them.... Sounds like safe ice is just around the corner depending how many kilometers the corner is from you... edited to change the typo word of "is" to "ice".....I don't want to be confused with President Clinton who asked the congressional committee what the meaning of "is" is...
  23. Have you ever notice that after a wind storm the new homes are missing vinyl siding and shingle on their roofs while the much older homes are intact....ever wonder why that is....most times it's because the newer homes are built with cheap chipboard that doesn't hold the nails as well as plywood....you get what you paid for. BTW many builders here have now gone back to plywood for roofs and siding....
  24. I have had good success with Cabela's mono lines in 4 and 6# tests...if mono is what your looking for you can save a bundle using Cabela's Proline ...4# 3100 yards cost $9.99 and 6# 1980 yards cost $9.99 http://www.cabelas.com/product/Fishing/Fishing-Line/Monofilament%7C/pc/104793480/c/104719680/sc/104457780/Cabelas-ProLine174-Original-Line-150-Natural-Clear/739718.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ffishing-fishing-line-monofilament%2F_%2FN-1100384%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104457780%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104793480%253Bcat104719680&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104793480%3Bcat104719680%3Bcat104457780
