Terry what I have done for the NYS Thruway is call ahead and ask what their current price is....on the Thruway they have the advertised price sign after the exit....so they got you once you're there....LOL....but with my GPS I can locate all the gas stations on the Thruway and it also contains their phone numbers.....amazing how many different gas prices are on the Thruway even though these gas stations are only 30-50 miles apart.

If the mindset here is like most everywhere else, then the $25 fee is to discourage non-residents from using the park. So they actually want less business not more. Your only good to them when they need your money for larger issues that involve federal money so that community doesn't have to pay for it themselves.

YES, because if you buy from Mobile which is selling gasoline for let's say 5 cents more per gallon then Sunoco that is across the street then Sunoco raises his price 5 cents because he sees how much business Mobile is getting even though he's charging more....then Mobile who has a greedy owner raises his prices again and around and around we go....where the prices will stop nobody knows.... In other words, DON'T give business to a higher priced gas station if you can avoid that station....we are the consumers that CAN dictate lower prices. And watch out for those fishing buddies.....errrrr cousin that has deep pockets and short arms when you go fishing....

I have a Minn Kota Edge and saved a TON of money at the time because of incentives plus sales, points etc.....if I remember correctly I paid $140 for it shipped. BUT I don't use my trolling motor all day like a bass angler does....if that was the case I would have purchased a motor with maximizer technology as they get better battery life....so it really depends on how much you use your TM and how much you're willing to spend on one. Like I said earlier, when the new DECAL system went into affect it was almost impossible to get a license....was seriously considering going without one that year...but now it's a fine system. Here in NYS we probably do thing a bit different, but I'll try to explain our easy system. Our hunting / fishing licenses run from October 1st to Sept 30th....with our new licenses available around mid August each year. Once your in the DECAL system you no longer need to bring a hunting license with you as proof that you hunted prior and have passed a hunter safety course....so that's good....when we in NYS apply for our big game license we have the option ($10) to pick in a instant lottery for 2 anterless (doe) tags in any deer management area of your choice....the state puts out info prior to you picking on which areas have a high, medium, low or none chance to get your tags.....this is another good thing because you get all your tags right there and then... I am told you can purchase these DECAL licenses online but it's just easier for me to go down to the town clerk's office and get it there....they print your license and all your tags at once as they come off the printer tagged together....this license is easily folded and fits in you wallet without a problem....it is also coated to be waterproof... Once in the system you can go to any place that sells NYS hunting / fishing license as the computer has all your info from years past....all you need is last years license OR your driver's license for ID proof...so is also good for those who lose their hunting / fishing license or haven't renewed in several years. I'm sure once the bugs are filtered out you will be able to purchase a license in short order....try EARLY in the morning when the system isn't being bombarded with request....I got mine in a matter of minutes at 5am the other day. Really has to make you wonder.....I can order just about anything online and get it delivered in less then one week, sometimes in 2 days it shows up....but order something from a government agency and you lucky if it only takes a month or two....

I can't agree more.... your video not only is entertaining but also very educational....that was something that years ago the In-Fishermen shows were famous for....now almost all shows on TV bore me with their product pushing bull....Keep up the nice work... On a different note I REALLY enjoy smoked whitefish and consider them the BEST that can be had....however, I have heard that they are a great baking fish, although I never had them this way....I would like to hear how you guys cook them other then smoking as I always considered them a very oily fish that made them great for smoking.

On Lake Erie it best to move and find a school of larger perch.....you can spend all day and use up a LOT of bait feeding / catching dinks.

If they wanted the lowest bidder they would have went with China....of course you license would of broke in half after it's first time used.... NYS DECAL system comes from San Diego, Kalifornia....go figure...

Looking at all the insulation you have installed in the Ice Resort I knew you would have no problem heating that puppy....that wood stove is going to drive you out unless you learn to regulate it by air flow into the stove. I have a wood stove in my living room and it heats the whole house without a problem....but when I first got it and I was a green horn on operating it, well we many times had several window open to bring the temps back down below 75 degrees. I'm thinking all you will need is a zippo lighter for heat....

LOL....good one... Actually eagles from what I have read are a scavenger and will eat dead things they haven't killed. And since there is no season on them, they are off my target list....but it would still be nice if you did check with a NRA member first....LOL

Yep Shane, the pretty red fox is nice until you find out he's responsible for all the missing game birds in the area...and if you're a farmer I don't even have to explain that....but, that is why I can hunt MANY acres here for fox, coyote and woodchucks that I can't otherwise access for deer hunting....go figure...
