  1. I really don't remember.....I didn't buy it that often because I had a subscription to In-Fishermen....but they did give a LOT of detail for structure fishing before anyone else. I believe they used Buck Perry's theory a lot. Bob
  2. Does anyone remember the magazine "FISHING FACTS"........it was almost or just as good as the In-Fishermen magazine. Bob
  3. I have In-Fishermen Shows taped that are 1 hour each from the late 80's....I would say 50 shows in all, maybe more......they are PACKED with info.. Now his Linder Angle Edge Show is pretty good....in 30 minutes you get 15 minutes or LESS in real content. Also The In-Fishermen Show that the Linders sold is pretty good....but again 15 minutes or LESS in content...... All the rest I don't even bother with.
  4. The wife and I went here a couple of years ago and I believe it's right in the area you are looking at....George runs a FIRST CLASS operation and MANY MANY MANY different options to choose from. http://www.airivanhoe.com/fly-in-fishing-ontario-2007-news.php
  5. US mileage was about 14 in the city....19 on the highway and about 14 towing.....which is almost exactly the same as my Tundra gets now. The newer one's may get better mileage now, don't know. Bob
  6. LOL.....I was just picking on Paul....I purchased (ordered) my boat in January 1985...
  7. I had a 2002 V6 4X4....unlike the newer ones the 2002 was a 4X4 as you had a selector on the dash to lock in 4X4 otherwise it was AWD....for some reason Ford took that option away. The 2002 with towing package also came with a extra tranny cooler and when I tow cross country in 2006 I added another tranny cooler to tow a 3000K trailer in the Rocky Mountains. As for towing my 16 aluminum boat it was great EXCEPT I could never get use to looking in the rear view mirror and seeing ALL BOAT...I was use to seeing over it with other trucks I have owned. When I was fully loaded for a week of Canadian fishing I would take it easy on the QEW, 401, etc....because of reduced stopping power....Now with my Tundra I pass almost everyone...... Repair wise I had the following expensive's for 60,000 miles Replace front brakes and rotors (rotors twice) for our trip out west. Tires Anti-Lock brakes Rear axle seal Sun Roof Switch Front Passenger power window motor Bob
  8. Only a Dufass would buy a boat in January.....everyone knows that...
  9. Question: Do you read what you type before you click on the Add Reply button... Answer: I feel much safer down here knowing your up there....
  10. 92 post in and 99.7% are all nonsense and we all know that but here we (I) are still going strong...what does that say about common sense among us...
  11. YES, since 1968 when the federal government mandated side markers on all new vehicles......now most vehicles have a rap around taillight design which meets these requirements. BTW the GOOD sticky reflective tape can be a little pricey....I applied some on the front and back of my boat and in various places on my trailer...not for someone else's safety but for my own good.....taking self responsibility and SAFETY has been bred into me after 30 dangerous years of working on the railroad. Bob
  12. Reflectors would be nice on the ice shack but will it cure all accidents...we all know that's a big NO.... Can the ice shack owner be held financially responsible...gee I hope NOT.. I have said it here many times...your government is too intrusive on it's citizens and my government is trying to catch up ASAP....we may even pass you guys... I agree the last sentence in that article was totally unnecessary...someone there has a hidden agenda. What next....high speed sledder hits moose/deer/bear/racoon on ice which causes multitude of injuries to the two riders....Ontario now considering reflective tape on all wildlife.... BTW I hope all parties involved have a complete recovery and then are required to give seminars on the perils of high speed sledding at night or during the day.
  13. Yep...I would jump on that offer in a NY minute....meanwhile get your shovel ready....
  14. When you buy that many votes with the taxpayers money why would you ask for the money back while still seeking office in 2012...
  15. For some reason Toyota has some vehicles that didn't have anchors for their floor mats. That was the affected bunch as Toyota tried to explain in the beginning but the witch hunt kept snow balling with the liberal driven media that would do anything to help the Savior in the white house and his newly purchased car company. My Tundra had the anchors from the factory but I still got the recall letters from Toyota on that and wanting to modify the gas pedal with a useless shim just to quite down the DAILY liberal media witch hunt. BTW I never took my truck in and I have never had a problem with it. Best VEHICLE I have ever owned....going on 4 years now without having to return to the dealer except for a broken tire sensor that Firestone broke while applying new rubber. Buy what you want but I'm done with Government Motors, Ford and especially Chrysler.
  16. Sad........we never learn.
  17. Usually there will be damage to the crankcase part of the motor making it too expensive to repair.....are you sure it's just a rod ? ? ?
  18. You should give yourself a BIG pat on your back.....better yet...get a 21 year old blonde to do it...oh, wait...that don't compute....
  19. We had a dog that could lick his butt...does that count...
