  1. Hooked

    Brown

I caught one last year, around this time too that was full of eggs, let go of course. I guess some just get a late start? Heck, I caught a chinook last week, still in good shape, took around 15 minutes to land kinda shape, and was clearly in its spawning form. BTW, nice fish Shaun.
  2. Thats AWESOME! Thanks lunkerbasshunter. Haven't been able to watch my 2 favourite fishing shows in years, Lindners and Winkelman.
  3. Take the 3rd Ontario Street cutoff, QEW of course, careful, changes to 2 lanes from 3 before the cutoff, turn left as you hit Ontario St. Keep going straight through and that will take you to the east pier, where all the fishing is happening. Very short drive from the time you take the exit, 3-5 minutes. Good luck and post yer outing.
  4. Well HH, you went, didn't conquer, but gave it a go anyways. You never know with the weather nowadays, you could be out there in open water again in January?
  5. The kid is definately gifted at playin, impressive!
  6. Ok, thats freakin brilliant. Other than not being able to get a hold of the person, Ricks plan should work.
  7. That is so unfortunate. I was reading one of his threads, on another site, just the other day, titowoody is what he went by. Seemed like a real nice guy. Really too bad.
  8. Another stellar report David. Downsizing can indeed be the answer sometimes. I caught 12lb eye there on ShadRap #5. Hope to see some more reports from ya before ice-up.
  9. That was one of the first things I thought too. But man, its on the Interweb, it must be true.
  10. Cliff sent me a link that may sway someone from applying what the video implies. I may have to pull this video, certainly don't want to get someone hurt. http://www.snopes.com/photos/humor/batteryhack.asp
  11. Ahh, thanks aton Tbayboy!
  12. I couldn't believe this, check out this video: <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://img.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v61/Hooked/Battery.flv"></embed>
  13. Two words, sweet ride!
  14. Take care 007, enjoyed your reports and glad you got to see alot of Canada. All things go right again, you'll be back. Take it ease.
  15. Indeed, they look very impressive. Hopefully I can get my hands on some before the Quinte opener, think they'll work quite nicely there.
  16. haha
  17. Was it that red belly minnow one, cuz I didn't see no red belly. That would change my score tremedously!! I was robbed.
  18. Thats pretty cool. I seen my first one at 50pt conservation area a few weeks back, looked exactly like that but brown. I figured they would be up there, but not down here. Curious little guys they appear to be. I have also seen other animals long like that, but with much more fur, they run like an inch-worm. Just started seeing them once they started building the Red-Hill Expressway.
  19. I sucked, 11/20. Always had trouble with types of minnows. But I did get the one right I use almost exclusively!
  20. Thanks for the input all. I already have 2 Pluegers, Trion and President. Like the President, wasn't too keen on the drag on the Trion, plus a gear broke inside rendering it useless. Still gotta contact Plflueger to try to get that part.
  21. Was thinking of picking up an Okuma Aveon spinning reel, felt good. So I was wondering if anyone owns one and can comment on it?
  22. Keep throwing those cranks, in 1 day recently, I caught a pike, salmon and trout on the same crank bait. Keep it up, cranks can be the way to go when nothing else is doing. and that is one nice Pike! Nice going once again.
  23. Happy b-day Lew, even though yer sleeping now. In that case, have a great post b-day day too!
  24. Didn't pickup too much this year, but I like what I did get. Start off with this Daiwa Tierra 2500 spinning reel, awesome: Landed 5 salmon this fall, drag handled like a champ! and a Shimano Clarus 7' spinning rod, really like it. Also tried Spiderwire Stealth line, my new favourite super line and some P-line Evolution copolymer line, also very good line.
  25. Hahahaha, dang, I missed it! Don't know how you guys get up this early....on purpose. Thanks. yeah, its like I forgot, or purged it out of my memory from my first one, he's older now and he was well worth it 10000+fold already, and she will be too! Can't believe it, just cracked open a beer to celebrate the hand-off to the wife, whew hooo!!! I'm free, now I sleep, wake up, and fish.....yeah right. But ya never know.
