  1. Maybe the ferry company should invest in bolting the furniture down That would not be a fun ride for anyone
  2. Thanks GBW, Randy Figure I'll add a little more detail. I didn't want to drill any holes in the hull. So the two upper bolts on each side act as a clamp into the gunnel. The third bolt (bottom) sits just below the gunnle. This prevents it from flyin off if it were to come loose. It also can't slide back because of the angle of the bow. And can't slide forward because of the kleet plate on the bow.
  3. When I first started driving I paid 120/ month on a 2002 2dr cavalier. Dad owns the car and I'm the primary driver. That was when I was 18. Now I have 4 tickets 2 with points Drive a 94 Dakota. Dad owns the truck and I pay 254. Neither of these has collision or fire or thelft. Liability only. Being only 21 I have looked at going on my own. Latest quote I got. 250/month. Fire theft and collision plus 1 million liability. ( this is once my driving record is cleared) Your getting hosed in my opinion. Where you live should not dictate how much you pay. Go find yourself a broker. You should be able to find better insurance rates. Good luck with the hunting. It's a pain in the butt.
  4. Thanks. Shop is 24x32 inside. Heated and insulated. Makes those longer winter days seem short. I was able to even get cable this summer out here. Oh how I'm spoiled. Lmao
  5. Ummmm I'm not so sure those r nice welds. But thanks! Seems like my schooling payed off for that lol
  6. So I have had the trolling motor on the back of my tinner for the past few years. After upgrading a couple months ago to a bigger 55lb model with a longer shaft I figured it was time to mount it on the bow. I already have a casting platform in the bow. So why not the trolling motor. Pics of the platform Trolling motor mount. I welded it up with some scrap I had around the shop. Mostly 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle iron Pics Feel free to ask any questions. I'll let you know how it works in the next few days. Tight lines. Luke

  15. You cant beat those fall smallies! Great Haul from the river!
  16. I know I know. But when they are jumping right beside the boat and there in there but the 100's u can't avoid them. If you know where the pump house drift is my buddy found some scattered browns there today. Goodluck!
  17. I'm agreeing with wiser. Get the 1 day American license. If you want smallies. Drop shot or three way rig on the bar. Tubes work too. If you want bows lakers or browns. Art park drift. Caught three lakers yesterday there in an hour and a half. Best was 16lbs! Three way rig with Kwik fish. As others have said follow the mass of boats. Good luck out there.
  18. Mark! A 7' medium fast is what your after as stated above. Brand doesn't matter. Pick your favourite and there are lots to choose from. For me would be a St. Croix triumph or a shimano compre. Good luck with the rod hunt! If your there on Saturday I might see you
  19. On days when it's nice and sunny look for bass to be shallow. (Their sun tanning)
