  1. I think it's obvious that if the rules are changed, and a record can be established somehow on catch and release fish records will be smashed all over the world! TUF
  2. my beagle (tamias) and yorkie (bella) - my fishin' buddies! uf
  3. just take a drive down - if they're not fenced in, and there aren't any "no tresspassing, or no fishing" signs, fish away and let us know how it goes! I've done just that with some success and some wet lures.... Cheers, UF
  4. I've been a MAC guy for years, but I use both Mac's and PC's at work. I thought I might change my mind about PC's once I started this job and was forced to use one, but NOPE - it's been a year and I still can't stand window's. It's completely un-reliable, and the computer is SLLLLOOOWWWW compared to the mac I use at the other end of the room. As far as networking goes,my mac fits right into our mostly PC based network without a hitch.... i'm sorry guys, but plain and simple - once you go Mac, you never go back! hehe The ONLY reason I could see somebdoy wanting to use a PC these days is if they're a hard core gamer - but I would think that if you can run windows on a mac now (god forbid) you could also play your games on mac? Cheers, UF
  5. when I was kid and used up all my parents worms on the dock we resorted to balogna/ham whatever meat we could steal from the fridge....we also used catapillars but they never really worked to well.... cheers, UF

  8. Hey Dude - I live in the GTA also and I'm thinking of going with the 10' Jon Boat from Bass Pro. They're only $641.00 and with a bit of work you can add a casting deck etc. etc. Check out this like of Jon Boat Mods: http://www.myjonboat.com/hall-of-fame.htm Cheers, UF

  13. First off I can't believe I read all those posts! haha but seriously, CC's a good guy.....he's given me some great tips and I honestly don't think I'd have ever gotten into steelheading if it wasn't for his stinkin' awesome reports! Keep it up CC and I'm glad to see everybody backin' him up! Good Steelheading..... UF ps. i'm hitting the Credit River next weekend...SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH I don't think anybody knows about it!
  14. Hey dude, I operate on a SERIOUS budget due to the fact that I've got a baby and a gf in university...so, I grabbed a Daiwa Procaster for 50 bucks (it has a 0 to 10 backlash setting 0 being for flipping and 10 for casting beginners) and paired that up with the Lighting rod that Mepps is talking about which I got on sale for 25 bucks.... For a 75$ combo I have to say i'm impressed. It's not even a year old so I can't vouch on the longevity but I think it's a great setup for a newbie.... I've tossed various sizes of lures around from j-13's to the 1" countdown without a problem.... Cheers, UF
  15. Hey all, I read Canuck2Fan's thread on chest waders which was a huge help on my future purchase. I was planning to go with the felt bottom Bootfoot waders but I do alot of walking in between spots, and to and from the river from my place and I was wondering if the felt bottom's would ware out to fast? Would you suggest felt bottoms or just good ole rubber? I've always enjoyed my rubber bottom hip waders...... Thanks! UF
  16. thanks for the sights X-Rap! Cheers UF
  17. I'm taking my Girlfriend and Daughter on saturday - but my Old man is down for the weekend and if I play my cards right HE'LL pay for us all to get in...muhahaha Enjoy the show all! UF
  18. SWEEEEEEETTTTT - you know I've NEVER EVER caught a fish with a Cleo and that's all i see the guys tossing off the piers...last fall I didn't see a single salmon caught on a spoon...all on j-13's and jerk baits! you're an inspiration to all of us CC! UF
  19. Right on CCMT - great read to! Keep it up! UF
  20. Hey Fishmaster! This 38 inch girl is my first and only salmon - caught off the rocks in Port Credit last fall. I fish that river nearly every saturday and sunday of the open water season. This spring I'm gettin' a small boat so come fall I won't have to fight for elbow room on shore! I'm going to park myself just out of casting range of the crazies on shore......Last year two guys almost went at it over a tangled line! hahaha no thanks! UF
  21. Dude, I quit a year ago this past christmas, and though I only smoked about a pack a week for 4 or 5 years I feel TEN TIMES better now. I've got more energy, don't cough up a lung anymore, no more heart burn...it's great...I have a daughter now, and just knowing I'll have a few more years with her at the end of my life is enough for me to never smoke again!!! keep it up and it'll pay off big time! Good Luck! UF
  22. I've got one of the 30lb enduras in my living room right now...itching to be used! UF
  23. This morning was the first time I ever looked out onto Lake O and saw nothing but a vast wasteland of ice and snow! UF
  24. Wish I could Help ya Steelhead! I'm a newbie to the salmon/trout family myself - I doubt one salmon qualifies me as a guide! haha Good Luck! UF
  25. Right on CC - thanks for the eye candy! UF
