My only two Eyes of 2006 and I caught them on a sunday afternoon fishing with my then pregnant Girlfriend and two dogs down @ the CREDIT RIVER, in Port Credit......I was just as shocked as the rest of you! Sorry the pix aren't better - at the time I only had the camera on my cell phone because I wiped out a week or so earlier and ended up swimming in lake O, with the digi cam in my pocket. This was the first one, a beauty @ 4lbs. The pair, I caught them back to back - the smaller one was 3lbs The fillets! Dinner - in case you're wondering they were MMM MMMM gooood - and that glass on the upper left hand side isn't just ginger ale! mmmmm

Yeah I like the show as well - it's plain and simple - a good ole fishing show. The part I like the best though is that I get to watch it online, AT WORK whenever I want..muhaha (hopefully my boss doesn't see this) haha UF -

Ice Fishing - for carp?
The Urban Fisherman replied to The Urban Fisherman's topic in General Discussion
Although I suppose that could apply for anybody whose doing catch and release through the ice.....I'm sure you've seen those giant pike and muskie video's on YOUTUBE....... and it's alot warmer down south compared to where I grew up (sudbury) but I bet the fishe's gills freeze over quite easily as well.... Ice Fishing - for carp?
The Urban Fisherman replied to The Urban Fisherman's topic in General Discussion
Good call DSN! I never thought of that....not that the lake even freezes over here in Port Credit, but I was just thinkin' there's so many carp around it's crazy.....I wonder if any of them even stay shallow enough....hmmmm ah well something i'll probably never know....bring on spring carp fishing!!!! Hey all, Well, I've got hte winter blues and figured I better go spend a few dollars on fishing gear. I was in need for a new ultra-light so that was my starting point. When we got to Lebaron's I realised they had re-furb minnkota's on sale and boy what a steal - the exact motor I was going to buy this summer ( 30 lb thrust endura w/ forward & reverse speeds) was just over 80 bucks!!!!!! they're 159.00 @ canadian tire! Also got myself a new Ultralight Berkley Lightnight rod - seems like a nice rod for 37 bucks..so all in all a great day shopping and if you're in the market for a new electric motor you should check out the sale they have going on...they've got bow mounts also! Cheers, UF

I vote for boundaries in tournaments - but I think it should go both ways, if you fish a Canadian Tourney you shouldn't be taking fish from american waters.... UF

Hey all, Sorry to start another non-fishing thread but I'm really starting to get frustrated. My GF and I have been searching for an apartment for nearly FIVE MONTHS now without any success. The problem is that we have two dogs (a yorkie and a beagle) and NOBODY wants pets. We also have a 4-month-old daughter (Averie). I'm working full time as an assistant film editor and doing some side work to help save some extra cash. Ginny's studying psychology through correspondence to finish her undergrad, then starting her post grad @ U of T next year. We have a limited budget of around $900.00 a month just because we'd like to put some money away. Our dogs are currently living with our parents until we find somewhere new to live. We even had one place say the dogs were ok but they didn't want a baby living in the basement!!! We'd like to rent part of a house, either the main floor of a tiny house or a basement apartment that allows access to the yard. If anyone knows of any available apartments please let me know! We'd prefer the west side of the GTA because of family being near by, but are open to anything that would suit our needs. Thanks for your time! Cheers, Ryan
