  1. You will love this motor.. I put an 80# Terrova on my 17' Ranger Tiller last year.. Ran bottom bouncers all may long weekend and still had 1/2 my battery juice left when we got home after 4 days of fishing! Will move my boat 2+ mph into wind.. motor is awesome!
  2. Mary Lake HAVE SOME RESPECT!!!! This is a monestary for retired clergy basically they go there to retire. Most are not in good health. HAVE SOME RESPECT AND DO NOT TRESSPASS! I'm disgusted that you think it's funny that some old priest had to chase your buddies off their property because THEY WERE TRESSPASSING!!! and people wonder why it's so hard to get access to private property!
  3. Well if anybody has the same issue as I.. I thought I'd share my solution Ram sells a Suction Cup mount it's quite strong.. So I thought I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll just take it back... Well I put on my gunnel.. and can rock the boat pushing and pulling on it.. So I'm pretty sure it's gonna do the job and I didn't have to screw into my gunnel YEPPIE! Now the rubber does allow some minor movement but if that little bit of shaking damages the autopilot then it's a piece of junk HAHAHA! This is the one I got BPS only had 1 type in stock. http://products.ram-mount.com/rammount/pro...AM-B-138-224-1U Seems to work great
  4. Yeh that would be cool... I'll just have to remember to use the big beckman on the oposite side of the boat LOL!
  5. Maybe I should just acept that I need to mount it on top of the gunnel. I wish Ram solid a 24" arm HAHAHA! Oh I have 54" Terrova 24v 80lb w/autopilot
  6. I purchaced this a few months back but haven't stalled it yet. http://products.ram-mount.com/rammount/pro...umber=RAM-108-D Would you put up with the mount sticking straight up on your gunnel? Problem is because of the width of the mounting braket. I had to install the TM on an angle. Which causes the head of the motor to hang outside of the boat and I can only park my boat on 1 side of the dock. (Really pain sometimes). I would have to install this unit right on the gunnel instead of on the inside gunnel or floor. If I was to reposition the motor so the head is even with the gunnel I would have to reposition my plug for my bow light. This means plugging a 1.5" whole and drilling another one. As well as 6 more bolt holes in a the bow area of a 20 year old Ranger. Thoughts?
  7. Way to go man! 2 in one year HOLY CRAP! Lew, Man you are dialed in on that body of water LOL! Hope they are still biting on Thanksgiving
  8. AWESOME FISH!... and on a top water NICE!!!!
  9. Cute dog! Congrats! Hope she turns out to be a good girl for ya. Our previous dog was a border collie cross.. She lived to 22 years and I still feel she wasn't around long enough Our 4-legged friends just don't stick around long enough that's for sure!
  10. Congradulations on starting your new career!
  11. Also some hunting talk on http://www.canadianhuntingdogs.com/forums/
  12. I just bought the wife a Curado 300dsv for musky fishing because of it's low profile. This is one the highest quality reels we've ever owned. I had a couple of Team Diawa's TDHi's back in the day but since then it's been all C4's. This reel rocks! I caught myself looking down to make sure the spool was spinning when she let me try it LOL! it's so smooth and casts a country mile.
  13. WOW! Great report... man the walleye are on fire on rice this year.. GOOD JOB!
  14. Great REPORT! AS ALWAYS! Man I want to live there LOL!
  15. Brutal.... that's all i gotta say
  16. Yeh man.. weather is just something you deal with.. WHO CARES IF YOU DON'T CATCH ANYTHING MAN! Just go have fun that's what's important. After my crazy hours this week I'll just be happy to be on my boat and OFF MY BUTT!
  17. I had a 24volt MinnKota Powerdrive 40lbs (my old).. It was enough power for easy fishing conditions but no good for high winds or current. I replaced it with a 80lbs 24volt Terrova. Which is more than enough motor for my 17' Ranger Tiller. I pulls my boat at almost 3mph (gps) with 2 guys and all our musky gear + a full tank of gas If you can do it have a 24volt set up.. I did a 4 day trip on the may 24 and was dragging bottom bouncers and trolling for most of those 4 days and still had 1/2 battery power left when I went home. I was shocked at the difference in battery longivity from my old power drive. 12volt will be fine if you don't do crazy Sun up to Sun down fishing weekends but 24volt is much better in my opinion Hope that helps
  18. The problem with LakAir is you have to leave eventually
  19. Nice Report Lew... man it's going to be a long week after seeing your pictures LOL! We're going up Saturday morning I hope the musky's are still biting Nice fish
  20. Nice Report..good to see some ski's are biting.. I'll be up there next weekend
  21. So sorry to hear about your loss. If I lost my Suzy.. I don't know how I could handle it.
  22. Great report! Man you and the wifie really put a hurt on those walleye LOL! What a piece of paradise you found
  23. Congradulations! I am dying to put an E-TEC on my boat.
  24. Shouldn't leave those little marker bouys for fishing over night anyways.. not on any lake especially one as busy as Gloucester Pool. For 2 reasons 1) YOUR GIVING YOUR SPOTS AWAY LOL! (Sorry couldn't help it) 2) It could get caught in somebody's prop and do damage OR a animal could get caught up in it. I would tend to think someone trolling snagged it. I wouldn't throw it back in if I snagged it either I'd keep it. Sorry man.. just my 2 cents
