So i guess its fair to say if I go after work tomorrow the 3 hours (5-8) may not be enough time eh? The crowds on the weekend were nuts last week (too 1/2 hour just to get inside) but I can't get out of the office before 4:30 all this week
Nice fish Cliff. I skipped the drive today as well yet for some stupid reason I DID do work from home. What a schmuck . Next snow day I'm calling your place!
Hehe yeah its was one of those days. At least we hit a nice pile of perch at the end of the day (I suppose). We marked what sure seemed to be whitefish travelling nearish the bottom (and a school around 50 feet as well) but despite a variety of spoons they weren't interested except for one hit that Lexx missed. I'm going to pretend they were all carp and refuse to believe it has anything to do with us.
Did get a nice moonset/sunrise combo
But sadly no big fish pron
Wonderful report, really got a feel for how you summer went with some great videos and pics but damnit did you have to post it now. How am I gonna make it til the ice is gone now!
Hehe just kidding, thanks again for a great read.
Here's my crazy spending logic - since the drive home from the office is going to be miserable i might as well just drive right to BPS so at least at the end of the miserable drive I'd be at a wonderful spot .
Luckily I managed to get out without any really big ticket items but still put together a decent pile
Of course then I get home to find the spring Cabelas catalog in the mail box...
Hey everyone. Lexxington has this crazy idea that because I got a whitefish last week we can pull it off again this week so we're gonna try for them again on Sunday. Now just on the off chance my lucking fishing horseshoe falls out of my butt on the way we figured it might be prudent to ask for some help since neither of us have really targeted them before.
We'll be on foot but are willing to pay if anyone can recommend an operator or ice taxi that can get us out to some decent whitey spots. I'd drive on the lake but with the tires on my integra we'd be limited to just running at the shore from the parking lot than fishing wherever the slide stops . Alternatively if there's any walking recommendations those would certainly be appreciated (I saw some from Crappies post a bit back but any other tips are welcome).
My best guess for walking so far from what I've seen is just to head out from innisfil beach towards the islands and stop when the depths around 50ish - is that an option or am I just dreaming?
Thanks in advance everyone (feel free to PM if you want to keep info confidential)

Nice stuff, I was talking to Pikie at the Tyler event and he was certainly looking forward to the trip. I'm sure that 9lber made it worth the early morning.
I saw the pic and that oh yeah, another BOQ fish then I reread the thread title. Wow, thats damned impressive (hell thats impressive for any body of water). Love that last pic too.
Congrats
