Your line is on backwards ... Really . I do it a few times a year myself .... If it happens when you fish from a boat .. remove your lure and let all the line out and troll for about a minute reel 'er back in and no twists or nests... Happens all the time when the minnow isn't straight one the jig while fishin' Walleye.. . Randy

There is one way around it here ... UTVs that are used on the road must be insured under a Farm policy and must have a " slow moving vehicle sign" attached to it ya know "the orange triangle".... But that is a by-law.. The 2-Up isn't enforced here .. In fact our Police detachment has 2 of them. Randy

Consider this , a side by side is not considered an ATV .... That said , if you want to drive on a paved road where ATVs are permitted you probably not be able to do it on a UTV , here in West Nipissing we are allowed to use our 4 Wheelers where ever we want.. but driving a UTV will get you a ticket pretty quick... Say I wanted to go fishing on Nipissing I could leave my place on a ATV , get a coffee at Tim's and minnows n gas and simply continue down to the lake... If I were using a UTV I'd have to trailer it to the lake..... Randy

In the past I've done the same with a Weatherby 300 Mag rifle ...my Bud who owed me 2k ( boat loan) realized he had burned a bridge .... Tomiko is a hit or miss lake in the winter more miss than anything... But during summer months it's HOT!! That is my go to lake and know it well .. I'd say you did pretty good. Randy

They already exist... CTC had them a few years ago my father in law still has a few of them called " The Hot Rod" they have 2x AA cells in the butt and you turn it on like a flashlight. ... They don't melt the line... They keep your hand warm and your guides ice free. Randy

I wish I could.... my wife doesn't know his and my kids don't know theirs... we are of different cultures (I'm French Scot Canadian and he's Pakistani Croatian) , he's in the Navy and spends 200+ days on the water but has never been on the ice and swears that he never will... Just got a text from an old friend from Halifax who is moving to Victoria ( navy ) he was supposed to spend the night here tomorrow and leave Sunday....
