  1. Feel sorry for the family who lost the toddler , BUT ..... What a stupid law , I'd fight it tooth and nail. IMO if anyone is at fault it's not the landowner ( if the property is fenced in) .... The fault falls on the persons in charge of watching the toddler .... Tragic no matter which way you chose to side.
  2. And a third . Why do we at OFC spell it P3TA and not P(e)TA ? What did I miss ?
  3. In 1989 it used to take me about 6 hours to get to Canada's Wonderland , it now takes me about 3h45min ... It sure kills little towns that are already starving, it does , all my favorite rest stops are off the beaten path now ,except High Falls . Is getting there faster always the best way to get there ? Randy ?
  4. Olive the lake ( Bruce ) will chime in soon... He'll know all about it .
  5. Ontera go into remote camps , I know of many who have it in Marten , if you have hydro and phone , you can have High Speed .
  6. Ontera, cable Internet , they service Marten River .
  7. Bactine , needle and thread , longnose pliers, painkillers ( not aspirin), etc... These should be in your survival kit .
  8. Capreol.... BOOM BOOM .... Building a new smelter ...
  9. The engine is a worry but .. The boat itself is like new .
  10. I'm going to see him again tomorrow , I will show him these posts , hopefully we can agree on a happy medium . .. I'm willing to take the chance .. I'll probably trade in a repaired 75 Mariner and my 2001 Tracker SGV 14-T w 1998 30hp Evinrude on a 90 or 115 E-Tec ... I hope all goes as planned ... I find that it's a little underpowered with the 75 ..it apparently runs very well but with a little knock. ... Wish me luck ! Thank You ! Randy
  11. You'll have a great time ... Fishing has been very good , classic patterns work well , water is very clear and clean , very healthy population of 14" Walleye and 25-30" Pike .... BIG Muskies there too ... If you have a beach front cottage you'll love it !!! Denny is a great host , ask to see his classic car collection. Randy

  13. BUMP!*** Ok , it's coming down to the wire , I need more input on what I should offer without insulting or ripping each other off ... Boat is in awesome shape but the engine needs a little repair ... HELP ! Randy
  14. Get the spray they sell on TV ! ( I forget the name ) I've seen it in action and IT ROCKS ! My Bud had a cracked canoe ( not the beer ) and bought 2 cans at an As Seen on TV , he used it last fall for hunting, no leaks ... This past long weekend , no leaks .. It stands up to pressure and shifting and UV rays doesn't " dry out " and crack or peel or freeze... I'm sold... Randy
  15. gonna be different this opener , the water temps are already up to 66*.. I've heard of 8 x 50" + caught this past weekend alone, biggest being 56" at Gibraltar... all but 2 came off the reefs east of Target , Fisherman while fishing for Walleye, a 52" by the mouth of the Veuve River in Cache Bay..the rest in open water. Should be a good opener but they probably won't be in their usual haunts. Randy
  16. Bang on ! I've see that pattern often , Ray Carrignan is a good guy , but sometimes his producers make false claims , like his " Blue Walleye" show ...color phases are to blame sometimes I think .
  17. If those are Hybrids then Nipissing's Cache Bay is full of 'em .... I'm not sure about this one ...
  18. Posted the pic on your Facebook ... Saves me from bringing a DVD player and movies while out in te Camper
