  2. I know I had to drive to st.micheals hospital yesterday and all through the GTA I was laughing at their huge 15cm snowstorm !!!! Big deal the ground is valet covered and their snowbanks are only 20 inches high. !!!!! Hahaha quite funny .... But yes I fear there will be flooding in the same areas as last year like Haliburton minden burnt river as well as along the Trent Severn waterway of course depending on how fast the melt happens and how fast the citiots who control the waterway react to the spring melt !!!! They were asleep last year when it happened and we have a lot more snow this year .... So I guess it's wait & see ....I hope it doesn't happen again but I fear it will

  6. For spinnerbaits I like to use the titanium baits and they have a small number 2 Colorado blade at the bottom and a large willow blade on the top of the wire !!!! They work awesome !!!!
  7. Colorado for shallower presentation Indiana blades for medium depth and a deep or faster presentation a willow !!!! I mostly use Colorado and Indiana blades on my worm harnesses !!!!! They both put out a lot more "thump " and vibration than a willow blade they are more visual and make less vibration than the other blades !!!!
  8. Awesome lake trout bill !!!! Wow .... She is a tank!!!! ..... Glad ya got her up through the hole....tight-lines
  9. Our snowmobile club in bobcaygeon has had to post about "be careful of the deer and even moose" as the snow is so deep they really prefer to walk on the hard packed snowmobile trails instead of the deep snow in the bush !!!!! We have had a few close calls already this winter !!!!!! Even the turkeys as well seen a few of them on the trail yesterday just east of fenelon falls !!!!!!

  12. When you head from view lake head on a slight angle towards where the river mouth is there's a nice hole there !!! You will see the huts pretty much across from oakdene point but I don't think you can get on ice from that side ?? Or you can set up just off the small island there's a few rock piles there and lots of scattered weeds in the 5-7 foot range !!!! If you have a map it's easy to locate if you are walking with a portable hut it's about a 10-15 min walk or head for the bouys toward the river mouth !!! Always did well there 5-9 feet
  13. Reminds my of the 80's at the launch ramp in deseronto when it was a single ramp and a 1hr line up to get into the bay people were trying to launch anywhere they could and it was just like that !!!! I have seen fist fights and cars & trucks stuck as well !!!! Pretty crazy ..... With those waves rolling the sand around it holds onto your vehicle like glue bunch of rookies for sure !!!!!
  14. That's pretty incredible for sure !!!!! Wow ....some well fed fat chunky trout !!!!! Thanks for sharing
  15. another amazing bird, and even better pic !!!!
  16. My friends have been fishing the north east section up by view lake and that's where there huts are and it's good acesss if the snowbanks are not too high and they have been doing well he says a few days of tough fishing then a few days of great fishing but overall he says well worth it !!! They usually move around but this year says the fishing is good enough to stay put !!! They have got into a few big slabs of crappies and some nice perch too !!!! Hope this helps Tight-lines
  17. My buddy had a 19ft islander with a V4 in it and had a little sleeper berth and a small portable potty in it was a very great salmon boat and was pretty good on fuel and was awesome in fairly rough water good choice is you can find one in decent shape but there are many options out there !!!! I hope you have a truck to pull it they are not feather weight that's for sure
  18. Thanks for the video Craig !!!! Mark always has some great tips & tricks !!! Tight-lines
