  6. I hear you there mike & everyone else !!! I'm programmed to be awake at 3:00am seven days a week mon-fri for work and on the weekends well it's fishing !!! Even in winter as I am a sledder too so it's all year long and the excitement for fishing is always there no matter rain or shine cause as soon as I get back from a day on the water I'm already planning my next trip and speaking of that I'm rigging rods and doing my boat stuff as I speak !!!! Lol !!!! Good luck today in the tourney mike !!!! Keep us posted I think you won it last year if I remember ?? Cheers

  9. Well done brian !!! Nice fish
  10. Well so far this summer I have mostly focused on finding and fishing for big smallies !!! And that's no easy task this summer in inland lakes as high water cold temps & big smallies being deep !!! Well I got my 2014 "nickel" smallie yesterday and she was 5lbs on the nose with a huge belly and she hit like a freight train off the edge of some deep structure. Now I can concentrate on a "nickel" bucket !!! Which should be easier than the 30 trips it took to get the big smallie !!!! I hope anyways !!!!

  17. I use tungsten weights ya expensive & heavy but they are small and punch right through no problem even 1/40z is great for punching the junk
  18. Yup beckman nets are quality and usually last a lifetime well built & solid !!! Too bad I need a new net too I guess I will have to try and find one or get a Loki bet !!!
  19. The water is very high in Haliburton and Comming down to the kawarthas many dicks under water and boats either sunk or tipping over due to being tied to a dock and some places the rivers both burnt & gull are way way up I found a half submerged paddle boat floating in the lake yesterday while fishing and towed it to shore !!! Lots of debris floating too !!! Im sure your not the only one who lost stuff good luck I hope you find it
  20. Congrats Gerritt !!!! Same as shayne said open seat in my Lund anytime !!!! Cheers "fish-on"
  21. Folded clevises all the way they will reduce line wear for sure and will not bend as easy and I mostly use trilene big game 14lb test !!!!! It stands up to muskies and pike pretty good !!!! Also a good quality barrel swivel 24 inch lead !!!!! Always use a 2 hook harness !!!!!! And you are good to go !!!! Spacing of the blades is important too !!!!!!
  22. give the opp a big wage freeze, after all they just got a big raise....and use that money to get another used boat.....
