Great fishing report!!!!!! well thats some really good bass fishing thats for sure,they were a very nice size,and lots of them too,sounds like you guys were kept very busy,too bad the weatherman was wrong again ??? imagine that,he has done that lots of times to me this year thats for sure.....cheers

Well my friend Capt.robert Simmen [time off charters] and i hit port darlington again this morn,we left the harbor at 4:30am,and we were set-up out front of the nuke plant in about 15mins,2 riggers & 2 wire dipseys,well long story short we went 6 for 6, fish were taken on 2 spin doctors w/3-fly rig & herring strip,and 2 fish were taken on pro-troll flasher w/monkey puke color fly on wire dipsey,and the last 2 fish were taken on a silver streak green/silver, all fish were between 60-85fow,and at various depths on the wire dipseys,but for us the fishing shut down by about 9am....most of the fish were just a bit under 20lbs with one maybe running about 23lbs. and all were kings,but we know of a few big rainbows caught today and yesterday my buddy robert did catch a 30lb king so the big ones are here,now i got to get one for the derby in a week....sorry didnt get any pics today,so i think i will be at it again tommorow,if the wind co-operates....good-luck everyone& have a great canada day holiday cheers

I heard that there was some good fish caught in the river area,near the north end of the lake,just watch at high speed you dont hit a dead carp,it will tear off your transducer,thats what happened to a guy i know...just heard that today.....there is still hundreds of dead ones so carefull.....cheers good news to hear that they are still there alive and well....

Well i hope at least we get some rain here in Oshawa,we need it bad all the grass is burning,we also have a watering ban too,the tomatoes are starting to dry up,but i hope that the low pressure doesnt shut the fishing down as i might be out for salmon again tommorow morn....come on rain...cheers

Well canadian tire sells about 10 different styles of deep-cycle marine & r.v. batteries,from about $50-$150 thats where i got mine for my lund ,they have a great warranty as well,bring your old one and you get a discount too....good-luck oh ya wal-mart has them too....cheers

what terry & what douG....said,the ottawa river has a mayfly hatch and thats what we will do too,a flaoting jig head with a sliding sinker,or a small peice of worm or . the big secret....[LEECHES] walleyes love them alot and WILL NOT TURN ONE DOWN if its presented properly...good-luck,if you try all these ways from all these members and you dont catch fish its called OPERATOR ERROR......cheers

yes i hear you terry,it used to be a great little spot and i have fished there for over 30yrs,my grandad took me there as a kid,there has always been big bass in there,until now it was never overfished or boats there its too well known now,and all the people from toronto go there,its way to crowded now,and it will be fished out before to long.....too bad
