Hey kevin,if you were planning to spend that amount of cash on a reel....man go for the stradic !!!! man they are amazing ,and last forever....for the price there isnt anything that is better,so think twice and check one out in your hand before you buy, then you will see/feel what i mean, with 6:2:1 retrieve, man you can just burn those baits big time... .is this a xmas present from the girl friend????..LOL..LOL..LOL. cheers buddy

Well get a 9.9 high thrust kicker....they are made just for that....no they are not a normal 9.9 they have low rpm...but produce big, time touque, they are made just to be for that reason,i fish salmon on lake o...and about 5 of my friends have them...and its amazing how big a boat that those high thrust motors will push....goo-luck and check them out try the mercury oneyamaha has one too...not too sure about the price but they are very reasonable, maybe even check the prices on the us side as our high dollar you might get a really good deal,as well as being at the end of the year, they will be really wanting to get rid of them....cheers hope this helps....

Yes fang you are right i have those 18 snapper clips as well,i still like the offshore boards better i also have the tatle flag for the offshore that i can tell when i have a fish,or a bite, cause i hook it to the spring on the flag and when a fish hits the flag will pull back...its perfect you will always know when a fish is there, and they have a spot to put a small light on the flag so you can use the same set-up at night....its way better than the church board, just go and check the options you can get with the offshore...you will see they are better..oh ya and i do have both and use both so i have been able to compare with time on the water, and how they handle waves and things like that..cheers and good-luck

Great to see a Canadian company forging ahead
fishindevil replied to irishfield's topic in General Discussion
Yes wayne i have been going to lebarons for several years now,and some things are almost too good to be true,i have really had great deals there ,and have always had no problems in getting what i need,i wish there was more of them as i drive from oshawa to get there...and i like their no tax days which the have all the time,so its a good fishing/camping outdoor store, and like you said 100% canadian....cheers -

Hey bill, they are ice fishing in haliburton big time, they have been for almost 2 weeks, some lakes have between 4-7inches....at night and some days its dropping to -15 its been making ice big time, lots of the smaller lakes, you should contact the bait shops in the area, and they will know, lots of splake & rainbow lakes are open year round....cheers
-
Well first you should contact the MNR in the region where you want to fish and ask for that list,i have done this several times before and have got the lists,i dont think its online but i could be wrong,or ask to speak with the officer who is in charge of that area as they have first hand knowledge where what, kind of fish was stocked where and how many ????.....hope this helps...good-luck
