well gerritt i have one too...and the 3 times i have been to quinte this fall i havnt used it yet...its a deep diver magnum x-rap,and is 5 1/2 inches long and is really not much bigger than the manns or the reef runners,so i thought it would work,and will dive down to 20ft so the colors they come in are great,and we all know the deep diver x-raps work and i have caught lots of walleye on them so im looking forward to using it this weekend...also the alewives the walleyes are eating on average are about 4-5 inches long,so why wouldnt it work considering its almost the same size,and it does have a good action to it...so im gonna try it for sure,and maybe us guys that have one might be on to something new for catching walleyes...i dont know of anyone who has used one or tried one so lets try it out !!!!! cheers

Well at the last minute my fishing partner cancelled out on me !!!!due to a medical eemergency at his workplace, this was my partner for this weekends G2G at merland park.....so i made a phone call to my new walleye fishing buddy kevin.. ...see i knew he was hooked after last weekend,catching all those huge quinte giants !!!!! LOL..LOL..LOL SO it will be a blast fishing together for the 3 days,we will be there early friday morning,and will be out right away fishing as soon as we get there....well i was worried for a while and was thinking i was fishing alone like i did last year...well everything worked out just great...so see everyone down there and see ya soon. !!!! WOW thats good man at gagnons sports in oshawa they are a rip-off they are charging $10.99 for a manns and i think $9.99 for reef runners !!!!!! ya they charge way to much and what stock they do have they only carry about 6 colors of each....then wonder why they are losing customers...i like carras variety,and prices way better,its too bad im in oshawa,and they are in bellville...maybe ill stop in on the way to quinte and pick up a few more manns stretch +20"s ....what are his prices for them right now????

They are all the baits that work very well in the bay too....im all stocked up right now,but its great to know !!!!

Thats a very interesting video, thanks for sharing that with us...theres something to be learned about OVERFISHING ...and how easily fishermen can do great harm to a fishery,by keeping trophy fish,instead of releasing them....cheers

Yes we can do ch.72...most people i think will hang on 16 then go to 72 when called....we can also go 06 too depends on how clear the channel is....

Well like peter said,i always stay on 16 till you call another party then pick out of several channels to talk on ...so check the list and go from there,thanks peter,saves alot of typing...DO NOT HOLD CONVERSATIONS ON CHANNEL 16 AS PRESCOTT WILL GIVE YOU TROUBLE,ITS A CALL CHANNEL,AND EMERGENCY CHANNEL ONLY...

Yes and it will prbly change yet again too ????>>>> well i hope everyone should already know when you are fishing the Bay Of Quinte at this time of year you have to expect any & every kind of weather especially down there !!!!!like they say prepare for the worst,even on sunday for example,kevin & myself had at least 3 kinds of weather in one day it started real sunny & cold ,then got warm,then the wind got up,and dam it got cold again,...so you have to ready for everything,just make sure you have more clothes than what you need,specially if you get wet & bring warm boots & shoes,cause they might get wet as well....man i have been doing this for alot of years and see people underdressed all the time,they are the ones whos trip will be cut short,cause they wernt prepared !!!!!so im redy to face the elements and i hope everyone else is as well....thanks for the weather update....cheers BAY OF QUINTE HERE WE COME !!!!!!!

Well glad to hear everything went fine,and yes all it takes is practice,and trying it over & over,as well maureen you should learn to back it up with your mirrors as well as turning your head and looking back cause there is going to be times when you will have to use your mirrors so the sooner the better it will take time but practice will make perfect !!! hope to see you on the water some time cheers and good luck with the new boat

Hey don just wait and save your money....the handheld units really dont have much power and many will say they are not woth the money...wait till you can get a base unit they have much more power and have alot more options and you can get a good one for around 200 dollar mark....with the way the dollar is now,last year i got one on sale from cabelas,for 129 bucks...so check there first,and dont worry about needing a licence,you will not be asked to produce one,i havnt in 15yrs....so check it out cheers

Yes good idea wayne i was going to ask for feedback on several points like what brian said too does everyone have to stay at merland park...so it sounds like its best to have it for one day like you said,as most people will all be together saturday night....theres a few more things to work out as well...i would like some ideas from everyone as well

Hey everyone i am taking names so i can get a rough idea how many people are going to fish our first ever OFC Live Release Walleye Tournament On Nov 17,18 at our G2G this weekend at merland park,the fee will be 10dollars and there is a big trophy for first place as well as CASH...It will be for longest fish,not by weight,as we are trying not to kill any big spawners,so it is catch & release only,if you plan on keeping the fish you CANNOT ENTER THAT FISH!!!!! you also can fish anywhere in the bay of quinte plus the upper gap & lake ontario on ly !!!!! i will be handing out the forms,and will collect the money as well....so just let me know if you are planning to enter it...this will be alot of fun,and will be great to fish with everyone !!! AND ONE MORE THING TO ADD,THANKS TO GERRITTS IDEA!!!!!!!! 50% OF THE WINNINGS TO BE DONATED TO FISHING FOR TYLER !!!!!! HOW DOES THAT SOUND TO EVERYONE??? I THINK THATS A GREAT THING TO DO!!!!!!!
