If you turn off Highway 11 at the 169 cutoff at washago as you turn onto 169 on your right hand side is a car park where people are always leaving their cars. Hope this helps you out.
Just a heads up that the Walleye are up the Talbot now if anyone's interested in seeing this. A quick observation and question, I saw what looked like small perch hanging around the banks of the river but I was thinking that that may be a little far for a perch to come all the way from Simcoe. Is it possible that they were very young Walleye?
^This is a volatile issue that gets many people upset. I get very mad when I see a 4 pound Smallie go into the bucket or collapsable mesh thingy. I see it all the time and have gone so far as to call the MNR to report it There is no denying the fact that there definetly is a problem with some people that exploit and rape the resource. Some people have decided that calling the MNR does nothing and have chosen vigilante justice instead. I've had on more than one occasion been asked for a nice fish that I have caught and of course I say No. One time I was with a buddy and same question was asked and my friend decided to ask the person if he had a license, he actually said NO! I think this is the tip of the iceberg and don't see it stopping anytime soon....People are getting fed up. What about anytime somebody purchases tackle etc they must produce a license....That may be a start.
I may post a pic of what I see on a daily basis just to show what goes on sometimes
Mara is a nice park with a big sandy beach and a good boat launch. There are usually families with children there all the time. It's close to town but far enough away to be nice and quiet. I'm sure you'd be able to park your boat with no problems as I have seen people with boats there but I would make a quick call first just to be sure. Out of the two I know Mara has the better beach for the kids. Hope this helps a bit.
Ouch! I had those a couple years ago. Went to the emergency with a full waiting room and they rushed me right in. I guess I looked exactly how I felt. Get well soon.
I actually may have to go with Extreme Angler, its pretty much right down to business, informative and no filler. Music is a little much but i'd trade that for watching them catch huge largemouth right in our neck of the woods.
I believe they are trying to "hip it up for the younger folks. Either way I'd just take the Will and Grace approach, I don't like it so I'm not gonna watch it.
Glad to hear you guy's had a good time! It was great to finally meet you. Oh yeah that wasn't water it was straight Vodka LOL Let me know when you want to get out for some buckets
Thanks anyway guys, heading up to Washago for a bit before work. Had a bulldogger on the other day that snapped my braided line gonna go see if it's still around.
