Some friends and I rented this place on Cordova lake. Just the other side of Peterborough. The lake has all kinds of fish. Plus there are lots of things to do in the area. http://www.cottagesunlimited.com/cottpages/cott181b.htm Good luck.

Mike, Chandos is a big lake and very deep in spots. There is a nice beach up at the NW end and lots of Bays to go and hide in for a lunch. For fishing it is great, bass, pike , lakers and all the pan fish. If using downriggers be carefull as the bottem can come up real fast. Like I said a big lake, have fun. by the way, the OPP like to visit.

Fishing opportunities in Clearwater Florida...
davew3 replied to addy79's topic in General Discussion
Take medium heavy equipment, buy some casting bobbers and shrimp at the baitstore. These bobbers are great. You can cast out along way. They are a 1 ounce lead rod surrounded with styrofom. Wish i could find them here. Use a strong hook and drift the shore line, or find some docks you can access, you never know what you will hook. Sea trout, snook, jacks. Have fun. -
For a round the province trip here is one to try. Cross at Niagara Falls and work east then north to the Peterborough area, then hwy 7 east to Ottawa. Then hwy 17 west to Sudbury then hwy 69/400 south back to Toronto, and then back to Niagara Falls. I hope you have three weeks to do this as there are so many places to stop and see. I did this once in a week and it was not long enough and I live just outside Toronto. Good luck.

Hey folks, with this sunny warm weather and I hear it is going up to 12 next week I am wondering just how much ice is in the highlands ? We are supposed to be going in at the end of the month to do some trout fishing but I am wondering if we will be able to ? Any info would be appreciated. Happy New Years to all. Be safe on the ice.

Your a good man for being able to laugh. It beats stressing yourself out. The fish gods owe you one.

This is just a start around here. The creek in Hidden Valley comes down through Waterdown. If anyone has been up there on Parkside you can see a new tree nursary there. I don't think you will see much water in that creek anymore. All of the land in Burlington is now houses, all the creeks are toast and it won't be much longer for Bronte to become a trickle. All the water run off that use to be in creeks now goes into storm sewers. Unless the MNR wakes up we will have no more runs of anything but carp soon. Regards.

If your home theatre is a CD/DVD player you would then have to set you output on the theatre to AUX for just TV sound. The option is on the theatre remote. Good luck

If you do most of your fishing local, a cell phone, first aid kit with crazy glue and just let someone know when you are supposed to be back. Also the safety kit from canadian tire including flares. As mention, the s hooks on trailers don't cut it any more, and a lock for the ball latch and your hitch so no one takes it from your car. First time out find a small body of water to do all your testing on. I have also heard that the police are asking for boaters license, ownership and insurance. Good luck and have fun.

Going south in the winter. I bought $400.00 U.S. at lunch today and only paid $409.40. Haven't done that for a while.

Go to www.boattrader.ca. Pick all the options and see what's out there. I would recomend a Starcraft myself. I have no issues with mine and it takes not much effort to get up and plane with max weight in it. Also I find that it trailers well. Good luck.

Matt, you should send this post to the Legend head office in Sudbury. I would think it would get the attention of someone up there,.

Thanks brickNblock. We are heading out tonight. I have spoke with the guys at Sam's and from other posts we will see what happens this weekend. Trenton is our start, who knows, the weather change may turn them on. I will post on return to let people know how it went. And by the way, I hear there are no minnows to be had up there. Bring your own if you are going.

Hey folks, the are a bunch of us going to a cottage on Presquile Bay this weekend. From there we are going to trailer the boats around. Friday is a toss up between Trenton or Napanee. Saturday we are planning on Picton to Hay Bay and Sunday will be Wellers Bay. My question though is, for Friday where would you head to, Trenton or Napanee ? Any replies would be appreciated.

That was the day when our armed forces became committed to the fight against terror. To this day men and women are still dying due to that terrible attack. And many more are dying from illnesses from trying to rescue others. Do not let anyone forget !

Try going up to Clear lake and fish on the left side about half way down. There is a large weed bed there. Also by Hell's Gate where Clear joins Stoney Lake. Good luck.

Making Out A SIMPLE Will . . . . . (NOT Fishing)
davew3 replied to Photoz's topic in General Discussion
There is a program you can buy that will allow you to make your own will. There is an allotment of four wills per disk. I beleive you can pick it up at future shop and so on. You fill out all the details then take copies to your Notary Public at city hall to sign. In Ontario you now have to be carefull with your estate or the gov't can be a hassle. PS you do have to be detailed to save any issues. -
Sour ending to French River trip, plus report

Sounds like a good time. For the kids sunshine is nice. Rain brings boredom. Just in case, have you called the camp to see if the cooler is there. I do not know what size boat you have but to make it fly with stuff in it you must have hit one good bump in the road. Also I do not know what kind of cooler but my plastic one rides with out moving when empty and I haul a 15 foot split screen fishing boat. I hope you get it back.
