  1. Geeze.....sorry to hear that Beans! Was that your truck at thier place yesterday? Ford pickup? I was going to stop in, but I didn't see cliff's vehicle in the driveway, so I just kept on going. S.
  2. I hope that pike didn't come out of any of my spots? Good to hear you killed it...........I would have too. S.
  3. Phil, just to fill you in. There was another lab up for grabs here on OFC, and I had made the first reply in regards to checking it out, and made the mistake of assuming I had dibbs on the dog. That however wasn't the case, and the dog was given to someone else, before I even got a reply back from the original poster. S.
  4. No worries Phil, Wyatt is in good hands here. We spent most of the day getting to know each other. We went for a good long walk thru the ganny forest, spent a good hour or so fetching at a pond down the road, then went visiting at family and friends. He really is a great dog. Everyone loves him, especially the kids. He's listening to me very well. Thanks again, and if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to give me a shout. Your more than welcome for a visit anytime, and I hope we can get together for a hunt sometime this fall. I'll keep you updated on his progress, and we'll be in touch this week again for sure. S.
  5. From what I understand, its the supermag 870s that have the issues. My express has been flawless for thousands of rounds. No need for the big shells anyways. S.
  6. Thats a SWEET little 20ga. you have there. I would LOVE to have that in my cabinet!!! That gun will outlast you and your kids, and thier kids! I've had a few shotguns in my time, but all I shoot is my trusty 'ole 870!! S.
  7. Great read Harrison. We must have crossed paths in those years on the creek. I'm the same age as you, and I spent ALL my spare time on that creek fishing. I remember the guy who went in after his dog.......as well as a couple others. Good thing your dad did. I hope you find the guy. S.
  8. I didn't know you fished Roy And you catch fish too......wow! S.
  9. Your wasting your time putting water in your well Ryan. It will be gone the next day. You need a cistern for sure. I've never heard of an area where you can't drill a well though, that sounds fishy to me. Mine is 240ft deep, and has better quality than city water. S.
  10. I had one moved free of charge. If its on your property and you want it off, they'll move it. S.
  11. I fish to get away from my wife I take her out if she wants to go, but usually, she's trying to get me out of her hair When I'm home on a day off, she always asks me if I'm ok S.
  12. Good info Glen. Another thing is flashers thru the ice. I don 't know how many times I've pounded perch in shallow water, while my buds with thier fancy schmancy high power flashers got one here and there. If I can hear it, a fish can dam well hear it too!!!! Nice haul too bud.......that one slab is a beast!!! S.
  13. I used to go in there every year, but nowadays, its not worth the hassle. You might get lucky and catch a few decent bass, but most of them are 12" or less in there. The ride in is always fun though. We always did it in a 4wd pick up with no major problems. Just take 'er slow. S.
  14. There were over 10 dozen of them behind the camera man We had to get a few in the picture
  15. We could be in and out before the first T off. No problem. Have gear, will travel Very effective pest management S.

  18. regardless, its still not 45lbs. A good fish for sure, but nowhere near 45lbs. S.
  19. I got one 40 x 27 that was 30lbs on the money. Yours doesn't look as thick, but its prolly just the picture. Its a good 30lber for sure.............nowhere near 45 though.
  20. I made it as far as the launch and turned back around today. East wind sucks. S.
  21. Do you people really go through all that trouble after cleaning a few fish? I just wash my hands with whatever soap is there and call it done. Never noticed the smell hanging around........ S.
  22. Yep, I've never fogged mine before either. Just add stabilizer to the fuel (seafoam), change the lower unit oil, and a couple shots of grease here and there and your done. I take my batteries out and make sure they're charged all winter too. S.
  23. One thing is for sure.......you won't get them in front of the 'puter. Go out there and check it out.......and don't forget to report back how ya made out. S .
