  1. It doesn't need to be accurate, you can just make up numbers to suit your needs S.
  2. I've never owned a merc, for a reason! I have friends with mercs, and they are welcome to fish with me while their engine is in the shop S
  3. I still have full power here. Lotsa limbs, and one good size one in my driveway, but other than that, all systems are go. S.
  4. I've been out with nautrek a few times as well. Good guy, great boat/gear, and we smoked 'em every time too! Werner and big jim are full of shenanagins for sure! S.
  5. Yep, you gotta put tracks on that new boat fer sure! They're costly, but your wasting your $$ any other way! Berts or trojan. S.
  6. Sounds like stoneflies to me. S.
  7. Ya, that's what they said last night. As always, I'll believve it when I see it. Anyone ever seen a newfie weather station? Its basically a piece of yarn you hang outside your window. It never lies. If its wet, its raining, if its stiff, its freezing, if its moving its windy.....if its gone, someone stole it! Never fails!! S.
  8. Cliff, you should know better than to cancel plans due to the weather forcast. Its always hyped up. They cancelled all buses to schools this morning, and we haven't had a drop of rain or flake of snow here all day! What a joke! S.
  9. Ya, I was thinking coil as well. Seemss more plausible. I've seen them quit when they get hot lots of times, and then run fine when cold. S.
  10. I'd still run the seafoam before taking it to a shop. They are just going to charge you to do what the seafoam will do. S.
  11. Since nobody has said it yet........seafoam! My bet is the carbs sat empty all winter, some varnish formed and is blocking fuel flow. Seafoam will clear it up. S.
  12. I have enough quality outer wear to protect me from the elements anyways! I'm sure even the console guys have good outer wear. A buddy of mine has a much bigger console boat than me, but we always fish from my tiller. Soooo much more room. I feel cramped in a console. S.
  13. If it were me, I'd be looking at the tiller models. Look at all that space!! Way nicer to fish from! Probably cheaper too. Another thing to check out is where things will be mounted, and how hard will it be to install. Things like rod holders, graphs, GPS etc. My buddies boat was a gong show to install tracks/rod holders, but others were a breeze. Bottom line is they're both good boats. S.
  14. Lebarrons usually has the 6x6 nets and frames. Your supposed to use the bigger mesh for smelts, I think it might even be written in the regs somewhere. I know 6x6 is as big as u can go. I just dusted mine off today, might giver a whirll this week. S.
  15. I'm kinda liking the alumacrafts, although I've never ran one, or fished from one. You'd be happy with either rig I'm sure. Layout would be the deal maker for me. S.
  16. A true fisherman knows how to catch all species, under any conditions. I consider myself a true multi-species fisherman. Its hard to fit it all in, but. I like to fish for everything. S.
  17. I must have missed it, was there a power auger?
  18. Glen, your either fishing the wrong water, or your not a great fisherman. No offence intended, but I don't see anyone else complaining about not catching fish, just not being able to keep them. That said, I know nothing about nip. Never fished it, or even laid eyes on it for that matter. Its not hard to catch a feed of fish around here though. S.
  19. Yep, water gremlins for me too. Way softer than dinsmores, cheaper, and they don't slip on ur line. S.
  20. I use a 7' clarus UL with a diawa laguna.
  21. Yep, what mike posted is pretty much the same as what I do. I use 20lb fluoro, and prefer them short like that. For specks, smaller blades, smaller hooks, and 12lb fluoro. S.
  22. I have 250l to go and I'm done. Thank god! I've officially had enough! Taps are out! S.
  23. Trace the wires back inside the car, and you will find a little black box in the harness. That box was. The problem I had, twice, and one was brand new. I nearly pulled my hair out trying to figure it out. I have a buddy who. Also had the same problem. S.
  24. I've heard that atlantics use to rrun up the trent all the way to balsam back in those days. Pretty wild! S.
  25. One of my go to's...... S.
