  1. 1)Put about 6" of water in your sink. 2)Put your fillets in a plastic bag. 3)Put bag under water to get all the air out and use a twist tie to close the bag. 4)Put your bag into another bag and fill that one with water. 5)Put in the freezer. I used to add water in my bag with fillets but I found that for some reason the fillets tasted like water a bit. This way the water is not in contact with your fish but it still protects it from freezer burn. Or get a vacuum sealer.
  2. Good story and a good pictutre of the Giant.
  3. Amazing artist. I resized the picture she took and put it side by side with the one she drew of the corvette that Dan is showing. It is amazing.

  12. A 20lbs Gar would be a huge fish. It might have looked like a 20lbs fish!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I have a patch on my tinny and the welder said that if it would've been any closer to the seam he wouldn't have welded it because of what KyleM said. From the picture the top part of the weld seems to be very close to a seam.

  19. Have you seen that motor start??? If so and no weird noises out of it. It's a great deal. If you have somewhere to work on it during the winter you'll have fun dreaming of what it will feel like in the Spring. It doesn't seem to be underpowered, a 30hp with a 14' it should zoom along.
  20. Sorry for your loss!!!!

  23. I'm saying the 3rd week of November for the first time out. last year was I think Dec 8th, 06 and year before was Dec 10th,05. so 3rd week of november is only 2 weeks before this!!!
  24. 3 month hardwater 9 months softwater Not a wish it's a prayer!!!!!
  25. I heard that because "we" icefisherman lost 1 month of ice fishing last year that we will be hearing the jiffy's buzzing by the 3rd week of November this year. Last winter was pitiful only got in 150 hours of ice fishing, compared to 240 hours the winter before. I think that asking for my first crappy on ice in the 3rd week of November is not too much to ask.
