Parkline camp is on Dumoine lake. If the spawn is a bit late then you will be about 5-10 minutes by boat to all the fish you can catch. what you will ahve to do though is buy a pass to fish in Laverendrye Park. I think it is around $15.00/day. but if you think of fishing anywhere north of your camp you will need the pass. Cause that is why the camp is called Parkline . it's right on the line of where the Park starts. The river is called Orignal(moose) River. But due east of your camp there is a small island, so with a good wind you drift jig and leeches and catch a lot there too. Your camp has a nice sandy beach. we used to be a cedar point camp. Pm me your e-mail address and I will try to send you a google map of the area with some of my spots on it. If you go up the river keep an eye on your sonars, there is a couple of holes between the mouth of the river and the first set of rapids. Anchor at those holes when you can't find any anywhere else. there is also a good drifting area between the first set of rapids and the second one. You can't go past the second one. The first set of rapids are easy to go over. Just go in the middle between the center of the rapids and the west shore. Then you mototr up to the next set and then you just cut the motors and drift down with jig and leeches. what I found at that time of the year on Dumoine is that just a the sun is setting the walleyes stop going after the jigs but you will slaughter them with crankbaits in the narrow part of the mouth of the river. Ten Mile Lake is mostly fished for trout.

I got the same response last week in an e-mail from MNR. They should be looking for poachers instead of worrying if my Trap has a reg. number.

What time of the year are you going there ?? I fished the walleye opener at Dumoine Lake 10 years in a row. incredible fishery. Our worst year between 8 guys 3 days of fishing was 325 walleyes. unless you are going to fish ten mile lake then I haven;t fished that one. Rich and Patty run an amazing place there. Wait till you see the main Lodge. What beautiful work he did on that place.

I told my Daughter that any boy that she dates I need to meet them before. I told her that I was going to use the Jeff Foxworthy line. First I'll bring him to the basement and show him all my shotguns and rifles. Then I will show him all my tattoos then I will tell him that my daughter is my most precious person on earth and that if he has any intentions of kissing her, touching her that I have "No Problem With Going Back To Jail!!"

It would be nice if my employer didn't take one of my Floater days to pay for the day.

I bought a piece of nylon and I used marine GOOP to put it on. Now it takes me a couple of minutes to actually find where I cut it. Do not use an iron on patch, -
Somebody mentioned Nascar not being a sport.!! A couple of years back during one of the short track races they had a camera inside the car of Mark Martin and the camera was pointed to his feet. They showed us the footwork that he had to do during 2 laps of the race and i was exhausted just looking at it. His left foot never touched the floor of the car for all the laps that they showed and chances are that they havent touched the floor for the whole race. Plus his body was kind of all twisted because his toes were on the clutch pedal and his heel was on the brake pedal. So does the guy have to have the biggest arms in the world to race a nascar car?? No but does he have to be in very good health and in shape. He sure does. Sure there is some overweight drivers in Nascar but do they win a lot of races or at least a lot of top 10's?? I know that after 9-10 hours of casting a topwater frog as far as my flipping rod can toss it that I come back home with a sore arm. But I consider myself an outdoorsman not a sportsman. Because if I consider fishing a sport I probably wouldn't do it as much. I fish to have fun not to stay in shape. And most sports there is a winner and a loser. Even if I come back home after a 12 hour day on the water and the walleyes had lockjaw I can still say that I had a good day.

I have a cheap Marcum it is great you will set the hook and won't even look at your rod tip any more. But consider getting one like the quad or the 360 from Marcum cause you will tire very quickly of readjusting.

Can't wait to be able to bring my 12 Gauge when I go fishing. Just in case I see one of those.

If you can hear the swearing out of my boat, then I guess you're too close so you're probably fishing in my spot. Time for you to move.

Actually i was wrong all along about Chapeau de Taschereau. In French they call it Mont Chaudron(cooking pot) I knew where it was I just had the wrong name for it. The other one is a bit north of there on the Quebec side.
-
Same mountain, but i knew a different name for it.
-
I think that me and Brandon are talking about the same place. Between Larder Lake and Rouyn-Noranda. I have always been told it was Chapeau de tachereau because it look like a hat!

My experience with GULP is all good. I outfished 2 guys (17 to 5) they were using live minnows for walleyes and I used GULP nightcrawlers. I've also outfished live worms with GULP nightcrawlers fishing for catfish. Gulp minnows have been very succesful ice fishing eyes this winter. Not outfishing live ones but close. So do I believe in GULP ?? I don't leave home without some.

The quitting part is the easy part , it's the "not starting again" that is difficult. Just make sure that you quit for yourself ,because if you quit for somebody else it aint going to work. I had tried 6-7 times because my doctor wanted me to , then my kids wanted me to, then somebody else wanted me to. But this time I quit because I wanted to and it has been 3 years as of Jan. 1. Good luck and take it one day at a time.

The ostie is the Bread that Jesus ate with the wine at the Last Supper. And to turn it to slang a bit they say Estie. Tabernacle is the Tabernacle where the Chalice is kept. and Calice is the chalice which is used to drink the wine. -
CONGRATS Whenever you stop at Timmie's for a coffee ask for a handfull of plastic Stirstix. I used to chew the heck out of about 20 a day when I first quit 3 years ago and I haven't looked back yet. Now if I only could get my wife to quit. At least she goes outside to smoke. That really helps. As soon as cigarette smoke start stinking instead of giving you cravings you'll pretty well have it beat.

Any space left in the cooler just fill up with crumpled newspaper because air cools down faster than solids. A couple of water bottles with hot water in it might work just to keep the temp a bit higher in the cooler. Then the whole cooler wrapped in a sleeping bag trhen a plastic bag or a tarp should be okay.
