Where can I buy Jiffy Auger Products
wallyboss replied to Whitespinnerbait's topic in General Discussion
It is supposed to be 24:1, but I have been using the small oil bottles from Jiffy and if you calculate it makes it 40:1. I ahve read that one AMSOIL product you can even go to 100:1. But I think, I'll stick to the small Jiffy oil bottles. No measuring needed 1 bottle with 1 gallon of gas . Whitespinner if you find a place around that sells it let me know. -
One thing that I look forward to every hunting season is the heart and liver dinner.

Mr. Heater® Portable Propane Heater/Cooker
wallyboss replied to mad_on_fishing's topic in General Discussion
You could try PrincessAuto they usually have most Mr.Heaters products. -
Good outing Leechman. I was going to go out this morning but the Boxing Day Sale at LeBaron's won out , I picked up a few things I needed and according to my wife a few things I didn't need. You can never have too much fishing stuff. Never caught a largemouth on a tipup, does it grab the bait and take off like a pike or just slowly brings down the tipup like a walleye does?

I know that one good reason I like the Mr.Heater is the safety features tipping the mr.heater shuts it of and lack of fresh air shuts it off also. Does the Coleman have those safety features?

The only thing that it might do is cause interference to other flashers in the area, most new flashers have interference rejection systems but might not get rid of interference from older models. Or other flashers from around you might interfere with yours.

The key words here are LITTLE extra warmth. I bought one years ago and returned it the next day. Do yourselves a favor and get a Mr. Heater instead. And all I had to warm up was a FishTrap Pro

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, A video is Priceless.!!!! It's great to see somebody that age still being able to do work(or play) that interests him. My Dad started alzheimers at about 68 years old if he hadn't started that I am sure that he would've been as active. My Dad passed away at 75 not haivng talked a single word in his last 2 years. He had never seen a 40 hour week in his life. His Dad tended to a 300 acres potato field until he was 82 years old. Hard work never scared that generation. I wish I could still enjoy days like that with my Dad !!!!

What a great year end report moose. Thanks for sharing all those great pictures. I really like the picture of that sunrise with the tree, it sure reminds me of Home.

He can't be a model !! Look he's wearing socks in his sandals

Nothing ballsy about that!!!!! He would be ballsy if, when it was time to duke it out that he would stand up and duke it out, instead of doing a good turtle imitation. The guy is a goof. I just hope that the Stars can get out of that ridiculous contract.

Ice Fishing Tipups - Evolution in the Making
wallyboss replied to Leecher's topic in General Discussion
What kind of wood are you using. I made some a couple of years ago and in 2 winters all of them have broken. But I have some that are over 20 years old and they are still as solid as the day I made them, but I don't remember what wood I had used. -
I've read some news stories on this and nowhere does it say that BassProShop backed out of the deal. It's the owner of the complex where BPS was supposed to go that ran out of money, so it's the complex Lac Mirabel's completion that is on hold. It's got nothing to do with the Quebec language laws??

I enjoy the sound of bagpipes, but only if the player is very good. When the player is not, it can be the most annoying sound ever produced. I had a very bad experience at the Memorial Day celebration this year. The player was just awful.

I'll second the Buckshot Rattle spoon.

Anyone get Tennis Elbow from Musky Lure Chucking?
wallyboss replied to Joey's topic in General Discussion
Joey an elbow brace won't help. If it's the outside part of the elbow that hurts(tennis elbow) you need a wrist brace that will stop your wrist from going up. and if it's the inside of the elbow(golfers elbow) you need the wrist brace that will stop your wrist from going down. Ice it up for 20 minutes at a time and after you remove the ice let it come back to regualr temperature before doing any type of exercise. It is a tendon and if you try to exrecise a frozen tendon you will damage it more. I used a bag of frozen peas to ice it up because it will take the form of your elbow. if your doctor suggest a cortizone shot , tell him to forget it. Like beans said , most tennis elbow injuries are from repetitive movements. I messed up my right elbow at work but if I positioned my wrist properly it didn't hurt so I kept working like that and ended up with a golfers elbow also. It took me 1 year to get rid of it. I used to have a small rope tied to my fishing rod when I went fishing because I never knew when my elbow would let go. After a year of icing it 4-5 times a day and exercise my pain is totally gone. I just read Rich post?? and my therapist told me that a tennis elbow is caused by inflammation of the tendon??? -
It all depends on what the fish tells me. If they rise to take a look at it and don't take it. I'll change the action first then i'll change the lure usually downsizing it.
