Thanks for the report, we landed just one crappy last night and did far better last Sunday(3 pics and 2 crappy during freezing rain), kinda new before heading out the high pressure system would kill the bite.

Thanks for the tips guys. Heres what happen tonight as I just got home, broke down and bought 1 dozen minnows ...3 pics and 1 crappie later ran out of live bait between 3 guys and caught the last crappie on a gulp minnow out on the bog.

I am tired as a single fisherman of going to get, paying for, transporting, live bait everytime I go out. Can I catch wallies with just artificial. I could really dedicate to technigue and focus if I could gt rid of all the hassles with live bait. Tipping my artificial would be an option but really I could pass on that as well if possible. I am fishing scugog and would just love to pick up and go...what do you think and is there anyone doing right now

ahemm it's me crabbs Wow thats really cool whos says being last it never good!! I am a member of a few boards and I just joined this one as it looks truly awesome. My first favourite is hunting..then icefishing then finally soft water fishing. I am from Oshawa I have a hunting camp called crabbs camp. No I don't have crabbs and never had that or any other std ..yuck. I have a beautiful wife and 3 lovely daughters which I am very proud of so watch your your self or I'll kick your ass I can give it pretty good so a little class is always welcome but if your in a race to the bottom please just pass on by and keep going on your choosen path. I got the nick name frome my girls because I can get crabby at times but the scripts seem to be working and generally speaking I am a pretty good guy I live for the great out doors and make no apoligies for that. I enjoy meeting new people who like me always give a little more than they recieve. Hope to be here for a while and look forward to joining the community....hows that...can I have my shirt and hat now.. lol

Tried my 3 spots yesterday and had no luck. Favorite spot couldn,t get out on because shoreline gave way to water. Windier than hell, bit of rain then cold front moved in. Rest of the lake had good ice 5+ inches. Anyone else been out?
