  1. Open fishing, I see a trolling route
  2. Just buy one of every colour cause you know.. You will get out there they will only hit one colour and that was the one you left on the shelf.. (thats what I tell my wife anyway)
  3. aaaah to dream.... I say save your money for your first house, your still young and a lot can change in a few years.. I remember 26, single, money in the bank, good job, and free time Now in my 30's 2 kids, wife, house, trying to find enough time at the end of the day to dream about fishing.
  4. Where are the wheels. At this rate that might be a collectors item.. Nice ride though
  5. Wow, put it in that contect and it does seem a bit stupid..
  6. 21.5 square Feet,,, and thats a portable Hut???
  7. If you really want stuff done, call your local MPP, write a letter to your MPP. Get them to talk. Petitions are only a simple solution. trust me a personal phone call or personal letter gets WAY more attention.
  8. 2 Rods from a Boat ice fishing, ABSOLUTLY, You may look weird pulling the boat on the ice, and drilling the holes at the side but if thats what you want. Now if there was a layer of water under the boat, you need 1 rod. (depending on the region)
  9. Funny how stuff changes, when BPRO came we thought it would be the end of LB's and JB's etc.. I think these store's survive on Good priceing, Service and looking out for the customer. LB's needed a shake up and I think they heard the call loud and have come out strong,. I go to BPRO when I need the basics but more than once I can say I went there only to be disappionted. BPRO is needed to keep the little guys honest and the little guys are needed to keep BPRO watching their back. Shows the customer can make a differece
  10. I got too agree with the others, for a 9.9 having the pull start easy accessable might really save you some $$ in the sware jar. My 25 merc is electric but if all else fails there is a pull start, but when I looked at it my first thought is great, what happens if I really need it and I drop the rope , but a nice feature to have if your battereis fail.
  11. Hopefully, they put out a special "bass" exception for an early start again. 23.5" pike she may be a tough tourny..
  12. All I can add to the great advice already is Yes, get one with a line counter. Sometimes that can make all the differece.
  13. LOL, I told my wife needed to get the fridge for the bait thats how it was approved by management,, The beer was just a nice perk
  14. Cool, I disliked one of the "ice Reels" that came with a combo so just added one of my summer mico reels instead. All worked well. The only issue I could think of would be the oil/ greese they use is not cold weather type and might freeze. I think I will use my small regular reels from now on.
  15. Notice how many of these images show kids. All I can say is this was the first year where my oldest started to "Want" too go fishing with the Old Man. She would not hold any fish yet but we are working on that. My best picture is my (2) best fishing Buds
  16. In this slushy time thought I would ask a odd question. So there are small mico reels for ice fishing, yes they are small, some cheapish and have a few bearings.. What is the advantage of using one of these to say a, small "summer" micro reel? Is it worth getting the ice combo's or just buying the ice rod then using a regular reel. thanks LeXX
  17. Orillia Perch Festivel.. A taged perch came right up to the camera sniffed my bait and left. Boat caught it about 20 feet away
  18. Wish there were a couple hawks in our area, Pigeons roosting everywhere they make a terrible mess!!! I would have loved to see the "Take Down" I hear its really cool to see
  19. Correct, a floater suit give you 2 hours of safety from hypothermia and the added protection to keep you from drowning. But that has too assume that you have solid ice or strong enough ice to pull yourself out of the water, and find shelter to warm up. I think my main point was the greatest problems with snowmobiles is the time you reliase you have a problem you are in trouble, If you were walking you at least know where you fell in there was safe ice to that point and it was not too far away. Even with an ATV you don't travel too far once you hit very thin ice, snowmobiles can travel a bit over water before the track hits the point where forward momentom slows to a stop.
