Oh this thread could go on and on.. The please pay for my kid to attend ??? , support this and pay that etc.. drives me crazy Couple things.. Never give to the corporate world they would like you to donate a buck with your timmies, groceries, Wal-Mart's etc. in the name of ?????? I am I being heartless.. nope. Cause they use your money to support their promotions. Now if they match 1 for 1 ok but how many do this most of the time you see the sign.. Wal-Mart gave $$$$ to charities (pity most was from you). Yes even timbits, great idea but marketing too. At the grocery store. Getting some charity asking please donate to Madd Canada. (oops kid was hired by a company to stand there and ask for donations, oops the company that hired him took some their cut) actual money that went to the charity... So now we have this, We go too the heart and stroke charity.. How many millions in the bank yet we hear oh please give we need your money.. No we have no plans to spend the money.. Wait lets give our directors a large raise and bonus for making the charity numbers. My daughter attended a daycare that had subsidised slots. We do not get the subsidy. Then we are asked to start selling the cookies, cakes, etc.. excuse me we are paying full cost for a service, try going to your mechanic and saying please fix my car then he tells you sure, but can you sell these cookies while I work on it. Everyone tries to get their hand in my pocket for something.. I have no issues giving a Hand-up, not a hand out. Charities have become a business of themselves not the greater good. Pan handling should be banned. Salvation army, Red cross, Doctors without boarders these are charities something with a goal and outcome. Give direct not when someone ask you on the street to give. They say charity starts at home, so why ask me for money when you have not checked your own home first.

Agree and disagree, too many dinks also don't allow the food comsuption to get bigger. Once the main fishing season kicks off perch take a back seat most of the time. Wonder if a perch closed season would make a difference ?

On reading the Ontario outdoors, I get the impression that Ontario Out doors may have owned the naming rights for the "Spring Fishing" part so as they say they did not want to play so took there ball and went home I would say because Ontario Outdoors pulled out of the organization there was no one ready to fill the gap. This has caused tones of confusion. There is too much money involved to cancell it they would rather it slug along even if it only makes a 1$ profit I will be going to both, more cause it gets me out and its very close to where I live . If your looking for the super deals they just don't happen any more but you get to ask the experts a few questions, see lots of tackle and tire out the kids Now about free tickets ??

Just buy one of every colour cause you know.. You will get out there they will only hit one colour and that was the one you left on the shelf.. (thats what I tell my wife anyway)

aaaah to dream.... I say save your money for your first house, your still young and a lot can change in a few years.. I remember 26, single, money in the bank, good job, and free time Now in my 30's 2 kids, wife, house, trying to find enough time at the end of the day to dream about fishing.

If you really want stuff done, call your local MPP, write a letter to your MPP. Get them to talk. Petitions are only a simple solution. trust me a personal phone call or personal letter gets WAY more attention.

2 Rods from a Boat ice fishing, ABSOLUTLY, You may look weird pulling the boat on the ice, and drilling the holes at the side but if thats what you want. Now if there was a layer of water under the boat, you need 1 rod. (depending on the region)

Funny how stuff changes, when BPRO came we thought it would be the end of LB's and JB's etc.. I think these store's survive on Good priceing, Service and looking out for the customer. LB's needed a shake up and I think they heard the call loud and have come out strong,. I go to BPRO when I need the basics but more than once I can say I went there only to be disappionted. BPRO is needed to keep the little guys honest and the little guys are needed to keep BPRO watching their back. Shows the customer can make a differece

I got too agree with the others, for a 9.9 having the pull start easy accessable might really save you some $$ in the sware jar. My 25 merc is electric but if all else fails there is a pull start, but when I looked at it my first thought is great, what happens if I really need it and I drop the rope , but a nice feature to have if your battereis fail.

Hopefully, they put out a special "bass" exception for an early start again. 23.5" pike she may be a tough tourny..

All I can add to the great advice already is Yes, get one with a line counter. Sometimes that can make all the differece.
