Thought id post a quick report on a day my nephew and I spent in search of inland brownies this past sunday. He asked if Id take him fishing, which is a no brainer.........he knows im always up for that, but the question was......for what? I knew it was going to be monsoon winds anywhere near Ontario or Erie.........so that was out of the question. And i also knew he would prefer, as most kids do, quantity over size.........so we decided to pack up the ultra light gear and head inland for some small stream browns. And it went a little somethin like this........ Not as pretty as the specks ive been seeing on here from up north, but still a handsome little fish and lots of fun for the little nephew. (oh and me )We were just about to leave when we spotted a two year old brown under a log at the far end of one of the deeper pools................needless to say we couldnt leave lol.........he never did get that monster to gain interest, but he didnt stop talking about it the whole way home, i think i know where ill be this coming sunday

I would normally be up there in another week, but this stupid recession has forced me to give up my spring trip this year So Sad

Havent been able to get back out on the bar in a while, but i miss it.........we just drifted 3 ways with a LONG lead and a simple emerald or smelt

i dont deal with canadian tire as im south of the border.........but honestly, i usually think of the auto and service sections of these big box stores as seperate entities and would have called to make sure they were open with the rest of the retail operation. Like someone said, garden departments as well i think of the same way...........they are almost seperate divisions of the store.

i didnt catch all of this series, but are you talking about the Hossa goal with about 2 minutes left in game 3 when the puck wasnt covered up and went in the net to tie it up at 2...........only the ref blew the whistle for some reason with the puck laying out in nomans land for the taking. Yeah, id say that one was a horshoe in the pants of the ducks. Still hate the wings though

yeah, you could even see it at the post game handshake, the goaltender was still PI$$ED!!!! He was not ready to shake hands thats for sure.........he had this poubt on his face and wouldnt even look at the wings players and wouldnt say anything to them. Poor kid.

i triple that............they equate to my hatred for the Cowboys of the NFL. I say give it to someone new and make it exciting.........Chicago being the best to fit that description. Theyve been out of it for a long time, it'd be good to see. Instead of detroit fans going......ohhhhh, another stanley cup, uh, yeah , thats pretty cool. errrrr awesome.

Ive been here many times, we used to go as a group of about 10 years ago when i was younger, and went back about 4 years ago with a few family members and it conjured up some awesome memories. I dont remember the name of the camp, its on lac remigny Lake Remigny

Yeah those were the days of the league..........jets, nordiques with dale hunter, whalers........hockey was just better then, or maybe its just that i was younger and the nostalgia of thinking back makes it seem better. lol............but give me those canadian and northern U.S. teams back and im a happy camper. I cant watch anymore of this phoenix coyotes, florida panthers, tampa lightning, carolina hurricane crap!!!!
