I follow the Longpoint forum to see where the 'eyes are showing up. Went out yesterday and started in 40 FOW ended up with 2 farm animals (Sheephead) on a harness. Motored out to deeper water (55 +/-) and picked up 4 eyes in a matter of an hour. 1 dink and the others ranged from 3-5lbs. All on a "0" dipsey set to 1, 110 feet back on a blk/copper and silver/blue spoons. Nothing on RRF. Anyone interested in limits of 'eyes, let me know and I'll be happy to help.

The Queen did it again! Left the pickeral alone and drove around looking for pike.. lol.. took us an hour to get 300m from camp... even had a double header at one point. Then back for wings and a nice warm fire and movie!! I even let her beat me at cribbage. Also had , at one point, 6 golden eagles hunting over camp, we usually see them in pairs, so that was something I've never seen before. Probably about a 5 foot wingspan. Rainy day today so a good day to sit by the fire and read.. get some quiet time in. Oh.. and no more wondering whats going on at camp when were not there. Got this handy camera to keep an eye on things while were gone. One tiny bar but it works like a charm! Even managed a couple small pickeral the evening before to have for breakfast. Place is full of smaller pickeral... even after 15 years here I cant for the life of me find the bigger ones...

Nah, purely scouting mission for the folks I guided today, they got 60 between them with 2x26”, 1x24”, 2 x 23” and numerous in the 18” to 21” range and enough eaters to feed a small village. Job Done me thinks.

Huh...sure it's easy to keep your kitchen knives sharp when you're a bachelor...talk to me when you have kids, especially teenagers ...lol

Wanted KABOBS today,so off to look for supplies. NO-FRILLS had family pack chops on sale. I can make them do I say. Debone the chops,season and on the stick with shrooms. Side salad and sliced baked taters,home made tzatziki sauce and well,burping up garlic now,but dang good eats.
