  1. This pretty little kitty showed up on a trail cam by my place in Eastern Ontario a couple of weeks ago. These cats are certainly secretive...none of my neighbours ever see Bobcats, but obviously they're around...

  3. Really really cool shot crow man. I know there’s plenty of bobcats around in Ontario. the government doesn’t like talking about coogars because there are too many rednecks around that would love to poach one up if they admit that they are abundantly around in X location. hard enough to protect the plentiful animals never mind the ones that are critically endangered.

  4. When fluffy in the city park gets eaten by a coyote why does the government waste money finding it and killing it.

  5. They may not have a boat or tackle when this is over, so not much danger of that. Hope the judge has a strong arm and a heavy book.

  6. As a veterinarian, I am glad Ontario put restrictions on Pit Bulls. The problem is the breed is poorly defined. Crossbreeds, Staffordshire crosses etc. Mastif type dogs are related. Of course owners that are kind and firm will have better outcomes with their Bullies. Training and leadership are necessary for all breeds but especially the potentially aggressive breeds. Most human and inter dog attacks are by intact males. Not long ago most dogs were bred for a job. Herding, guarding, fighting, hunting etc. In the last century dogs became pets and became part of the family. The traits originally selected for are still within the breeds. Without training and discipline these traits can come to the fore. Bullies and mastifs have powerful bites and tend to hold on, resulting in terrible damage to the victim. When several dogs are together, especially if not neutered, their aggression is increased. Leaving kids, especially small ones, unattended with any dog involves risk. That risk is much highly with Pitt Bulls and several other breeds. Especially if not neutered. My 2 cents. Peter.

  7. might be a bit expensive now for 4" white PVC with screw on end caps. I made myself a long case from home depot for some air travel trips where I had 7 and 7.5 ft rods. To cushion the rods I glued in a cheap yoga mat from dollar store roughly 1 foot at each ends. Also you could see if there is still summer stuff out and grab the small 4ft cheap pool noodles. Split one side with and x-acto knife and slip the rod into the center space from tip to handle. You'll need to buy 2 to do the long rods and then these can be stored in 8' sections of that central vacuum tubes/pipes. These are cheaper than the white PVC Travel secured in truck bed and take them in at night
