  1. Well retirement and lounging around the house was short lived. I think I'm going back to work part time. Not in automotive; I'm done dealing with people having to make grudge purchases. Applied for a position at a firm called Seniors for Seniors. Not sure if I'll get the position; there's a crap load of personal checks and becoming certified in a few areas; which so far can be done on-line? The job would entail that I would become a companion, handyman around the house, driver and help with day to day things (cleaning, cooking ect) that a client may require (No Butt Wiping. LOL). I've always enjoyed being with/helping the elderly and looking forward to a chance to give this a try. Maybe I could get into customizing their wheelchairs? Dan.

  2. Hi all, Wabigoon Lake froze over night a week ago now, we had no snow and two nights of -20C right after the initial lock up and it made 4” of clear, black ice in those three days. I’ve been going down to check every evening since but have only drilled a hole once with the intention of fishing but never did. My son has been very keen to skate every chance he can get, and anytime spent with him is better than the slim possibility of a dinky sauger…. Lol…anyway, fishing kind of sucks right off our shore from mid June and is even worse until practically ice out. Because the lake went in one go, the ice is perfect for skating and with minimal snow and no cracks(yet), clearing an Olympic size rink area is easy and no flooding required(yet…lol). There were sleds out on the lake last night, dumb if you ask me, no ice is safe ice, especially when the margin for error is so big this early on. Anyway, it has also been fun to check ice thickness with my son and educate him on ice safety and hear him explaining back to me why we approach it the way we do, the safety considerations to think about before walking out and his great knowledge of how weather conditions before and after ice formation fit into those safety considerations, and just as important having a whole lot of fun doing it and not hearing about Minecraft for a whole hour!!!!!!

  5. So I got to give the SxS and new plow a good workout. I cleaned my driveway and did my neighbour's business as we share the driveway onto the road plus they let me work inside where it's warm, on my toys in the winter. Took between 1 and 1 1/2 hours to do the whole job. Used to take me that just to do my place with the snow blower. Almost forgot, the heated seats and heater worked awesome!!! Blue dot is the entrance to my garage the SxS sits in (as well as my boat). The area inside the poorly drawn red area is the area I cleaned up today. 😊 And the toy in all it's glory. 😁 Won't be too long before I'm plowing the ice road out to my cabin. 👍

  6. I use a helix 5 and a 5AH battery and it lasts me all day even if I charge my phone. I don't have my screen set to max brightness, but you shouldn't have issues. I'm going to take an old 2AH battery out one day just to see how long it lasts.
