  1. An empty shell of a boat hull, will not tell you everything water leak wise; you may want to know? The boat shell should be weighed down to what the approx weight that it'll carry while in use. Just think of Pascal's Law. Fluid will always travel from a high pressure to a low pressure. If the boat empty (for # sake) is 100lbs it will only apply 100lbs of pressure to the underside of the hull. Add 500-800+lbs the pressure will go up equally to the hull. May not leak @ 100psi; but may weep, seep, dribble and or pour at 800lbs?? I understand why you want to test it before closing up the floor; just test it with the proper weight. Dan.

  2. Once upon a time when I was a working stiff and did not have a lot of time off, fall meant steelheading, bow-hunting and duck hunting. You can't really do all three, at least not in any reasonable way. First to go was duck hunting, then steelheading. I had a really good run of fall steelheading, but could still do that in the spring, so I did. And I had a heck of a run with the bow, probably forty deer or so. Maybe more, I lost track........ Now I am a retired old fart, and can do whatever I want. And I hardly do ANY of those things any more!!! So enjoy it while you are fairly young and vigorous! Doug

  3. This one will be a while for me to beat. It's definitely the heaviest rainbow I have ever caught.

  4. WOW WOW WOW What a deal I got on these new winter waders. They are basically hunting waders, but they will work for river fishing. Got them at the online auction here in Barrie. I always look on amazon, so I know what retail price is. I always set a price I will pay and wait til the final day . If I want something bad enough,I will compete bid . These I did not have to. I set a price at $75 and won them. Retail is $275 . I can not wait to wear these in the cold waters. They are quilted inside. They are so warm and soft . Boots are lined like a slipper . Cleated as well. Extra wear material on the butt and legs. Breathable . 6 days off coming up,so I will get to try them out.

  6. Another Lasagne day. The large one meat laden (ground pork and beef) and the smaller one meat free for my youngest daughter. Loaded with goodies and can you believe it, over $70.00 to buy the ingredients. What inflation? *Note..... in the first image I forgot to include to two 500 mil tubs of Ricotta but rest assured, it's all in there. *Also note.....the small one was 7 pounds pre cooking. My scale couldn't weigh the second one as it tops out at 15 pounds.

  7. Here's an idea and I'm assuming this is an aluminum boat. Why not turn the boat upside down on some stands and take a pressure washer to the outside of it? 2000-3000 psi should be plenty of force to find any leaks from the inside.
