  3. Here's a day where I was proud of my son, his new wife and the old Chevy; as their choice of transportation for their day. Didn't know they had this wall photo done; but oh man I had to take a pic of it to post here! See the light switch (bottom right); that's to give their wall photo some scale of size. FAMILY!!!!!! Dan

  4. No rain here my friend. Beauty morning on the river . Home to cook up some cod cakes and cold Bush,s beans. Sure wish we could get the big cans here. They are dear at $2+ a can for the small ones here. But well worth it. Costco had a full deboned side of salt cod this week , paid $12. Put the hole thing in 10 pounds of taters, onions and newfie savory. DELISH.

  5. Always cooking something up but not always taking pictures. I've recently made a huge pot of Chilli that had 6 pounds of meat in it, a small pot of Clam Chowder and and a large Casserole of Baked Pasta with Sausage and Cheese. Today, this monster coil was done on the BBQ (pre rain), the best Hot Italian Sausage bar none! Portioned off onto crusty rolls with choice toppings is on the menu for dinner tonight and tomorrow and......

  7. Oh Yea! I like my Chevys; BUT a well built Mopar will run all day at the track; where my Chevy may need some refinements/repairs during the day?. But at the end of a day of racing, we'll both be in the hole with about the same amount of money spent. What you put into the Chryco before race day and me fixing crap between runs. LOL

  8. '64 Dodge 440 actually. Originally a 361 car, push button automatic. Currently has a 440 in it and haven't decided if I'm gonna finish the clone job with the cross ram intake and dual 4 barrels, but I'd negotiated the price and said I'd think about it and come back if I wanted them. While I was strapping the back of the car down in the trailer I saw feet and then an intake plopped down in front of the car. Wife had gone back in and negotiated some more and paid for it ($3500). I think she's trying to tell me something...since I sold her '64 Vette on her a couple years back!

  9. VERY Nice Dan! Makes the ownership even more important. I was about 3.5 years into the Bee's restoration when Kristal said "will it be done in time to drive me out to the alter in September? You and Mom got married in the car in '82, so it must have some good luck" ! Her and Eight bridesmaids delivered.

  12. Long story short. if you got that stuff on anything; it would turn it chalk white with-in minutes. Worked great keeping the flies away; but I made the mistake of wiping my hands (this crap burned) on the tan seat of my boat. After the sun hit it; it looked like it was tie-dyed; it pulled the colour right out of the seat. My wife used to have a bad habit of putting sunscreen on her arms and then get in the car, everything she touched or rubbed turned the black interior to smurf blue.

  13. Maybe not so far from the truth; if you want the whole motor to be white? Maybe not so much sunscreen; but has anyone on your boat ever used some form of (Strong deet) bug repellent? Repellent that may have inadvertently got sprayed on or dumped on top of the plate? Deet is an amazing bug repellent; it is also good for starting camp fires (better then gasoline), discoloring painted surfaces and Oh yea causing cancer. A buddy of mine worked for Bell Canada (from the70s till retirement). Back in his early days; the general worker's supply warehouses, had cases of deet, in 4-5 ounce squeeze bottles of all but strait 100% deet. Dan.
