  2. Well it's definitely outdoor related. Deer antler supplied by a dear friend (as well as one of my machine lathes) for his next custom rod build. This is the progress so far.......

  3. I have nothing but praise for the CAA Plus I have and will be a lifetime member. I blew a wheel bearing in Nipigon to the point of no longer having a usable axle on the trailer, I had to kick the tire on to launch the boat. CAA covered the cost of hauling my trailer to Thunder Bay to have a new axle installed.

  4. Very impressive on how you got the portion of untouched antler to showcase the seat. Will you ever get the aroma of burnt bone out of the shop?

  6. and keep your air vents OPEN if you are running the heater!!! Especially if you bank the walls with snow. I find the 2 to 3 person shelters are just about right for one angler with 2 ice holes.....

  8. One thing I found best about this, is to use bungee cords. They have give and will not break . I removed all the ropes ( strings from mine ) and just use bungees on all four sides. I use the ones you can buy at the dollar store. Heavy duty . They have carabiner hooks on both ends. Easy clip on and off .

  10. As mentioned, pile snow on the apron so wind doesn't creep in. Also some mats just to keep their feet from direct contact with the ice. for space the boys sit in opposite corners on one side and you in the middle on the other side. regards

  13. I recently went to Superior North on a fishing trip. It was a great trip until I got home late Monday night. Between the hours of 6am and 8am, some person stole 3 fishing rods out of the back of my truck in my own driveway. 1 outfit was my pride and joy, a vintage G LOOMIS 1562 IMX 13' made in Canada float rod custom rebuilt by our very own Spiel. Along with this rod was my 5" Rainmaker reel built by Canada Fishing Reels. The other 2 rod and reel combos were my 8'6" Fenwick Eagle Elite med heavy both paired with Shimano Stradic CI4+ C3000HG. A generous reward will be given upon the safe return.
