I was just watching "How it's Made" commercially made " Montreal Smoked Meat " isn't smoked at all. How can they sell it as "smoked meat" ? Ok, now you know how bored I am 😁

There is ice out there believe or not, there was 3-6" were we fished, gotta be careful and spud your way out, there was even snowmobiles and quads out on the weekend ( crazy f**krs ) If you not that eventerous or familar with the area and ice in general please don't go out, if you do don't venture out past the pack ice. No ice is safe ice so please use your better judgement and if you do go out please do not go alone and bring all the necessary safety gear. Jigging the DR for walleye is my favorite time of year.

Sounds like Melody is a real gem. Dan, you might want to think about writing the boss at the Aylmer MNRF and tell him/her how great it is to deal with such a switched-on staff member....people like that are golden. Doug

Just Got this reply from the Aylmer MNR office Good morning, Dan. Thanks for your email seeking clarification about ice fishing during the Stay-at-Home order. Hopefully the following information will be helpful. Under the Stay-at-Home order a person is required to remain in their place of residence and only leave their home for purposes permitted under the Stay-at-Home order, including: · Obtaining food · Exercise · Exercising an Aboriginal or treaty right as recognized and affirmed by the section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. Ice fishing huts should be treated the same as indoor gatherings and only be used with other members of your household. There are new restrictions on the rental of ice huts. Ice hut may only be rented to a person if the hut will only be used by members of the same household and the hut will not be used overnight. If a person owns their own ice hut, they can stay overnight.
