  1. WOW! Thank you guys, i feel a whole lot more part of this community again after that. And Chris I appreciate your input, I was going to reply to your comments about "political correctness" but I cannot spend my whole day on here, lol. But now i'm here......You talked about how 'society' these days is too easily offended, i'd have to ask which portions of society you are referring to as I know many members of society that have always been and always will be offended by what Don said. My feelings about political correctness is that it has become weaponized with the end to discredit arguments against change, not just change that needs to happen, but the changes that have already happened in so much as the voices that were not heard before are being heard, and while in the '70s it was more acceptable to be overtly racist it no longer is and the weaponization of 'being politically correct' is another attempt to silence. I hear it all the time, "you are too easily offended", "you snowflake" etc...etc....I am far from a snowflake, in so much as I don't melt away when the heat is on, I think this thread shows I don't do that, and its not that i'm easily offended, I just am offended when someone is being offensive.

  2. That's good enough for me Chris. Simon, my apologies. Sometimes we only see things from our own perspective and it's difficult to walk in another's shoes. I can be guilty of that sometimes too. Your perspective is completely valid and in this case, likely even more so. Cheers.

  4. I hope Roy checks in from time to time and knows we think of him. I met Roy a couple times...but what I remember best is him driving a freeking long way to a G2G at Lakair...and then his boat never actually getting off the trailer. Roy seemed perfectly content to hang out and chat with old friends, meet a couple new ones, and occasionally pass out in a lawn chair.

  7. A doctor decides to make a career Change!! After 20 years of work, a successful gynecologist had become fed up with malpractice insurance and HMO paperwork, and decided that, even though this is all he knew, he would seek new career for himself. Hoping to try a career where skillful hands would be beneficial, he decided to become a mechanic, as working in a garage is always something he thought he might be good at. He went to the local technical college, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he could. When the time of the practical exam approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for weeks, and completed the exam with tremendous skill. When the results came back, he was surprised to find that he had obtained a score of 150%. Fearing an error, he called the Instructor, saying, “I don’t want to appear ungrateful for such an outstanding result, but I wonder if there is an error in the grade?” The instructor said, “During the exam, you took the engine apart perfectly, which was worth 50% of the total mark. You put the engine back together again perfectly, which is also worth 50% of the mark.” After a pause, the instructor added, “I gave you an extra 50% because you did it all through the muffler, which I’ve never seen done in my entire career.” HH

  8. So when can't recent immigrants be white ? Some just too eager to play the race card, even when it is not applicable.

  10. Heard on the radio this afternoon that Kapi and Willie spent the day yesterday golfing in Vegas.... hopefully, hockey practice didn't get in the way of their game! LOL Nylander has been a poison to this team... do I have any specific evidence, well just the team's record since he came back last December. Watching him play is an effort in frustration, so many bad give-aways and little to no effort make things right. Dubas claimed he didn't sign him to trade him, so maybe Dubas can take him with him, to his next team! HH
