  1. As I posted in another thread my wife and I have been travelling around the east coast of the U.S. and the Maritimes for awhile now. We always stay at Hampton Inn & Suites whenever possible because they're great hotels and that point was really proven this week. We were staying in Charlottetown PEI last week and left there on Monday for Moncton NB where we are now. After we arrived at our hotel here and were unpacking our things we realized we'd left several hundred dollars worth of clothing in PEI.....don't ask LOL We called them right away and the desk clerk said she was just getting ready to call us as the housekeeper had found our stuff while cleaning the room. She told us not to be concerned as they'd look after everything for us, pack up all our things and ship them over here with Purolator. That was Monday afternoon and all our stuff arrived at 9:00 this morning (Wednesday) all neatly folded & packed into a couple boxes....about 43 hours. Total cost to me was a measly $38 Customer service doesn't get any better than that.

  3. If it was grating on you that badly, I would just move to another seat. By the 5th inning, if the seats 4 rows over are still empty...ain't nobody coming to fill em. Either find a new seat myself, or tell an usher about the situation...they would get you something pretty good I would imagine.

  4. Dunnville has been known to harbour a criminal element. If the authorities really want to enforce the law they don't have to go far from the dam to nab a few dealers of illicit drugs and stolen property to purchase said illicit drugs.

  5. Rattletraps definitely have a place in casting box. The large saltwater size in 1/2 red 1/2 white is a personal favorite. I have friends that throw swim baits all the time with lots of success.....theres definitely a ton of effective alternatives to the common spoons/J13's. Maybe one more trip for me when things cool off again next week then it's time to switch gears to Steelheading ? Josh

  6. I forgot to mention Rattletrap type baits from Spro, Yozuri, Lucky Craft, Jackal, Daiwa, Cotton Cordel. They not only work but cast a mile. I've seen Americans on TV catch inshore salmon on soft plastic minnows from Berkley as well. I'm trying soft plastic swimbaits this year because I know they work for big Steelhead and usually salmon and steelhead will hit similar lures. Again put a heavy jighead on a swimbait and not only does it cast far it also hugs the bottom which is where chinooks often linger when they are not jumping

  7. We're big fans of the Island Gerry and have visited several times, infact we we're just there 3 years ago. It's a beautiful place where everyone is really proud of their homes and look after them. Driving around there for 3 days I don't think I saw a single piece of garbage thrown on the ground.

  8. Stick with the casting spoons you have. Most people I see reel far too fast with spoons at night. A s..l..o..w retrieve is necessary for proper action with most casting spoons, they should wobble back and forth, not spin. The largest Len Thompson's are a favourite in clearer, deeper water. The small Moonshine tear drops are great all around but shine in murky water when a bright glow is helpful. And its unlikely your J13 will run properly after a repair. They're very finicky baits. 9. Remember those kids at the grocery store, sitting in the basket, screaming and yelling, grabbing stuff in an apparent total meltdown, while their parents did absolutely nothing. We said " God help us when they grow up " Guess what.
