  4. It sounds like you are purchasing your supplies from US resellers/ wholesalers, hence the tariffs. Have you explored buying directly from the source country or a third party country like the UK ? Although, the US puts high tariffs on imported goods, Canada has dropped most of the reciprocal tariffs. If you can circumvent the goods going through the US, it should reduce your landed cost. Great looking jigs, and all the best with your enterprise. The Crappie jigs I bought from you have been killer !

  6. Thanks again I sold out in about a week and a half . It was intended to be a limited run,as I had a limited amount of supplies . I have since got a crazy amount of orders for more , so I have put in an order for more beads and materials . Will be about a week or so before I get my orders . I lucked out on this order as the next I will not be so lucky . . All stock that suppliers are bring in now, are priced with the new tariffs . The percentage increase is extremely stupid crazy . US and China are killing the affordable prices . Brass, tungsten and hooks . Here are a couple examples In September due to raw material increases they imposed 10% on Brass and 20% on tungsten. Our procurement cost for tungsten powder increased to US$110 per kilogram, last month was US$85/kg, in September was US$66/kg. The cost is increasing at a rapid pace! Additionally, our suppliers have indicated that tungsten powder prices may rise further to $150 per kilogram next month. Due to this ongoing price instability, we can no longer offer fixed pricing for tungsten products. We kindly request that you inquire about the latest quotation prior to placing any future orders, and we will always provide a price based on the current procurement cost. Daiichi who raised their prices 146% on 100 packs due to factory increases, Japan tariff's and eliminating my advantage of buying by the 1,000's (multiples of 10 x 100pc) to the same price as if I just bought one only pack of 100

  17. Hi all, spent the morning checking ice and was satisfied it was safe to get the sled out. Just drove a short way around the corner of our bay to a deep crappie hole, was pretty constant bite, mostly small though.

  18. Perfect. I gave my buddy a list of a few places so we’ll see what he thinks. thank you.
  19. If you can't catch a walleye at Spanish, you're probably a vegan, lol. There has been the odd day where it was hard fishing but 90% of the time they jump in the boat for you. The above mentioned campground is good. About a 1 minute drive into town for basic necessities you might forget.
  20. Hard to beat the Spanish..
  21. Hi all, Went down to the bridge this evening. I checked the ice there on thursday and there was 5", was pretty confident that with the cold temps we've been getting it would be safe to venture out today, I know lots of you fish on way less than 5" but there is current at this spot and my comfort zone is at least 6" at this spot. I found 6" to 8" ( 2 inch difference less than 5 feet apart in some places) and drilled a grid to sit in the middle and chase fish on the 'ole Active Target. Could have saved myself some effort as most of the fish came out of the one hole, but it only took 15minutes to drilll and set up, so what the heck. I fished for maybe an hour and a half and got some good eater size walleye which went back to fight the good fight another day.

  23. Trying to plan a trip between Sudbury to sault st Marie and north a few hours. May1 -July 1. Sometime. this trip I don’t want to travel more then 6-7hrs from Barrie. bring my own boat and probably camp. Most of the lakes are pretty small. Maybe the north channel would be better? The pickerel limit isn’t very good on the small lakes. Or do I just go to Erie. maybe Nipissing is better for catching something. any thoughts? use pm if it’s smaller lakes you’re talking about. Thanks.
  24. It’s freezing cold for this time of year. I have to wait until afternoon to work on the boat. I have about 15” of snow. I hope it’s an early spring.
  25. Nice We are getting some cold but a lot of snow Not the best combo
