Musky trip Lake St Clair

Went to st Clair for musky.  Had a hit and straight drag.  Sun was bright so the Bimini was up.  Buddy grabbed The rod and hit the Bimini not reeling fast enough and slack line fish gone. 
Got a small pike and a channel cat on Muskie lures. Not enough action pulled to plug.  
went to Erie for pickerel and limited out in 3hrs.

Only problem is it’s a 4.5hr drive one way from Barrie.  
if anyone can go they should.  
1mile out and start fishing.  So pick your day and you can go in a car topper.

I have found the musky fishing a bit tougher at St C the last couple of years. Even last fall we didn't do great when fall was usually a fish bonanza. Kind of hard to justify the drive and I am only 2.75 hours away
