Fill 'er up, Murray. Back in the day when the only ads you saw during the periods were outlines of things like tires and batteries moving across the screen.

I sure do remember him,  at the end of the commercial ad , he  would salute the audience and say "Happy Motoring" ,

He sent  a lot of business to Esso Stations across the Nation,

I definitely remember him, every Wed. & Sat. night was "Hockey Night in Canada" as I was growing up!

Same here, the Wednesday game you missed the first period or so due to regular programming.

Remember him well. There was an Esso gas station at the corner of Westmount amd St Clair. The dealer looked a lot like him and dressed like him to the T and we would bring our bikes and he would fix them, didn’t like us jumping on the hose to ring the bell !!!!
