mizzmo Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 i fished there during that hot spell last week. may30th until june 2nd. i caught about ten walleyes, the biggest was 21.5 inches. had a few nice following pike but they wouldn't hit. most walleye were caught on pink worm harnesses. stayed at parolins cottages. surface temp was 72 degrees in places, seemed a little high for this time of year. caught millions of rock bass, another sign it may have warmed up already. did see a boat trolling past catch a very nice walleye, just over 4kgs (8.8lbs) on their scale. i think it would have been better even if we just had wind. only took a few pictures, nothing to write home about.
Raf Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 thanks for the report, that's a lake i've been curious about.
irishfield Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Heck...I'd never be able to spell it ! Thanks for the report of your adventures.
solopaddler Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Very cool! I've fished that lake many times and always stayed at Parolins, Tom and Diane are great! (pretty good ice fishing as well btw)
mizzmo Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Posted June 6, 2007 tom is a good guy! he was very ill when we were there. very reasonable prices too!
Joey Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 Sounds like you made out okay. Thanks for the report. Joey
Terry Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 good report. it's hard to catch fish when it's that hot, seems you did alright and 5 bonus points just for spelling the name of the lake
